Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Denver

Since this is the only churches in our area my husband and I always go here. Literally every single time we’ve gone it’s been an issue. The first time we had an issue the young man at the drive through corrected it with no issues great service even with the inconvenience. The second time we went I made sure to double check my order since it’s common for them to mess it up. Unfortunately, what wasn’t common this go around was the young woman’s attitude at the window. Since I’ve worked in food services I always try to see it from their point of view when interacting with the person at the window. I calming was trying to inquire how their 4 piece wings are set up. While I was talking to her she looked as if something was funny maybe I had something on my face which was comical but other than that not sure what was funny. After I asked my question she gave me this look as if I was inconveniencing her day with my simple inquiry involving her profession, guess she’s not there for that. So due to the dumbfounded look on her face and the smirk as if I had shit on my lip I asked for a supervisor. Luckily she had a more professional approach but not much. Just because you work fast food doesn’t mean you can’t take your job seriously. I have always loved Church's. However, I went through the drive-through, big mistake not only did they give me the wrong items requested which they advised me it would be an extra charge because it wasn't their basic order I fully understood and accepted. The problem was they gave me the basic but charged me the special order price. If that wasn't bad enough more than half the order of the 10 piece chicken was very dark as if it was over cooked in old oil about 5 hours earlier. To be exact, only 4 of the pieces seemed fresh. The bright side of all of this is the next customer most likely didn't have to endure nasty old chicken. Maybe, just maybe they read this and realize they are getting orders wrong and test and replace their intercom system improving their service. But in my case there are a number of Church's I the Denver metro I can be served by. This Location I have been talking about is on Federal near Florida. So don't avoid Church's all together. They started and grew as one of the best Southern Fried Chicken places that started the fad of a bite of great chicken with a bite of jalapeno that seemed to be the perfect match made in Heaven.
