Oh wow, just, wow. This might be the best Mediterranean food I've had in Denver. I have been super lucky to break bread with a chef from Morocco, and dine in his kitchen at home. The food he made at home had a level of flavor and pop that can't be replicated in the restaurant setting. Or so I thought, until today. I wandered in off the street to Hayati and was immediately in love with the smell of the dining room, the sound of soothing music filling the air. I immediately wished I had more time to sit and dine in. But, alas I had to order to go. I took Ali The Chef's recommendation and got the lamb plate. I raced back home and opened the box. The scent of slow cooked meat surrounded me. A whole lamb shank. I'll say that again, A WHOLE LAMB SHANK. These aren't some weak sauce portions. Chef Ali and Chef Muhammed are in the business of getting you fed. I took a bite and was transported back into that tiny kitchen with my friend from Casablanca. These fellas know what they're doing, you need to eat here. No jokes, eat here!

These guys are absolutely awesome. They’re local which is a plus. They’re grateful which shows. And they’re proud of their product which makes for some consistently heavenly cuisine. My partner and I visited here for the first time about a month ago (though we have been living next door literally for a year). The place is kind of a hole in the wall but don’t let that detour you. These are the BEST places. I can’t remember the owners names to save my life but from start to finish they walked us through their menu, offered specialities like some proud parents offer up their kids’ accolades, and they even gave us chai tea when we left as is their custom. The only downside is that they are so popular they are often out of hummus by the evening which tells you to get your butt their ASAP. Highly recommend and love this place. Their food is that great stuff you find when you go off the beaten path like some Anthony Bourdain shit😋 Give them a try and enjoy some lovingly made grub.

This place is awesome! Where to begin… the chicken shawarma is a must. Whether plate or pita sandwich, you’re not going to lose. But the shawarma pita comes with incredible spiced fries for a little extra and worth it. I also recommend adding a side of hummus. Plus, if you’re a fan of sambosas/samosas don’t pass them up here! The chicken sambosas features some awesome heat thanks to added jalapeños. Lastly, find some room for the funnel cakes. You won’t be sorry! And you’ll be glad to come across this place! The service is also super friendly making it worth stopping in. One of my new favorite places in Denver, I already can’t wait to stop in say hello… and, of course, eat!

I posted a review after my first visit where I experienced a similar experience as most other low rated reviews. Ordered ahead of time, arrived when the food was expected done, and still ended up waiting for about an hour. Multiple errors, and the front end staff looked at us like aliens the entire time.

Arrived home with the food to notice a couple items missing. I called, left messages, and emailed to no response. Eventually I posted my negative google review, including my assumption that a large amount of the positive reviews were bots. 2 days later, one of the owners called me and berated me for the negative review (I’m guessing he found my number from their shady ordering app, but creepy). He shamed me for causing damage to a small business, and was appalled that I would cast doubt on the validity of their reviews. He then suggested that when I hadn’t received a response to my multiple attempts at contacting, I should have returned to the restaurant to resolve the situation. I eventually agreed to remove my google review so that I could end the verbal altercation. He kept asking for me to return and try again without offering any credit or discount. I didn’t even get credited for the absent items from my original order.

Reposting because similarity in other negative reviews makes me want to highlight these fraudsters. Also the food is thawed and microwaved. Denver kinda sucks for Mediterranean food, but Hayati tarnishes the entire region. Service, quality, accuracy?? We’ll make ya regret leaving the comfort of your home!

All caps responses to google reviews really takes the cake. Nothing like giving your honest experience to have an owner accuse you...

Quite possibly the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. I had to double check the Google Reviews/maps location to make sure I was at the right place. I was genuinely surprised at all the 5star reviews.

My party of four visited this restaurant on October 11th 2021. We were greeted by someone who did not speak English very well, so it was difficult to place our order. His enthusiasm was awesome though, and he was super polite. We placed our order and waited. Half of our food was brought to the table in Styrofoam with plastic utensils. After another 50 minutes and 4 different times asking where the other half of our order was, we were told "just 5 more minutes" after almost walking out. Our food was finally brought out (2 of our party left, already) and we started to eat, but it was very clear that it had simply been microwaved. The rice also had a very distinguishable taste of cleaning products. It tasted awful, possibly the worst food I've ever tasted, and we threw it away. Our whole party of four had stomach aches after this experience, as well. I wonder if some cleaning product got into the rice? I worry about the sanitation.

On top of this, the lights were constantly flickering (electricity going off and on?) and the bathroom was in shambles. I have a feeling some sort of construction may have been going on. I would have LOVED to experience the 5 star restaurant that people are talking about on Google Reviews (I love this kind of food, as a vegetarian), but I can't help but feel as though they are bot accounts/not real reviews?? I'm honestly shocked! Can't...

I wanted to leave this review not as a customer, but as an employee who works here. I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Ali and Mohammad his brother on a personal level. Both of them are the most kindest and caring person I’ve ever met in my entire life. But i guess the way Ali is, is genuinely natural for him considering the fact that he’s a (Pisces) I was greatly disturbed when I got the news that Ali had been stab by a psycho women who he was dating and trying to love. Father more, this individual manufacturer false lies about him to other people and even lied to her own family about him. When In all actuality, WE ALL KNOW THAT HE DID NOTHING BUT TRIED TO HELP HER AND TREAT HER GOOD. But some people are just not worthy at the end of the day... she lied so much, she believed her own lies. But moving forward, I’m glad you recovered well Ali. And it’s good to see you back at work again. I absolutely love working for these people as an employee. They always treat me with respect, and deal with me fairly. I couldn’t be more happy. To my boss Ali, I’m glad to see you back running the show again. We’ve missed you man!! You are a great person personally and business wise. Your skills are impeccable. I’m grateful for you and your bother Mohammad for giving me a job. And I truly like working...
