Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls — Restaurant in Denver

We went there on October 1, 2023. We got the Connecticut Roll, Lobster Roll, Lobster Mac n Cheese and the Lobster Grilled Cheese. I personally didn’t care for the Lobster Roll, very bland and the lobster and mayo was not mixed so you get massive lumps of mayo with no lobster or vise versa. The Connecticut Roll was a lot better. The Lobster Mac n Cheese was bland and had a hair in it so we didn’t have a lot of it. The Lobster Grilled Cheese suffered the same, bland and damn near tasteless. I think the least they could do is put a little Old Bay, salt, and lemon pepper on it. For $85, it was not worth it.

Atmosphere was ok. Looked fine but could use a little love like a fresh coat of paint and to be cleaned. There was no one else in that restaurant for most of our experience and there was plenty of time to clean a table or the windows. Definitely not that clean of a place but would have potential. Layout is odd and the menu is in a weird location which makes it harder to order. The overall experience was barely average.

Service was below average. They do bring the food to you which is nice. Can’t say the woman behind the register was that friendly. I guess it is like twisting an arm to just get a hello or have a good day. The Manager, or I assume he was the manager, was at a table doing work, dude, open your eyes and look at the restaurant, it needs to be cleaned. Heard some swearing by the kitchen entrance also. He should not be discussing employee time off on the floor, that seems unprofessional to me.

Overall, there are better places for a lobster roll but in that area, there is way better places to go. True Food, the Mexican Cantina, and cricket are down the street and deserve your business more. I was pretty disappointed and expected a better experience in every category. I won’t recommend and it’s a one...

Horrible racist experience. I made an online order for me and my team as I work nearby, upon coming in for my order I was not greeted or anything so I just made my way to the pickup side. I waited a while even though it was supposed to be ready according to the online system but I did not mind as it seemed like they were working on it. Then another customer comes in gets greeted and is asked for the name on his online order. They then proceed to stop doing my order to make his order and even apologize for the 2 min wait. Mind you I have been here for over 10 minutes now. They finally finish my order and demand I show them proof of purchase. They did not ask the last customer for one so why me? I state that I ordered it off my work computer so I do not have the order but that I can let him know exactly what's in the order. He then gets mad and says " why would you know the customers order?" I then say because it's my order? He then says no you are uber you have to show me proof.
