Iâll start this review by saying that I absolutely love coming here! The atmosphere and drinks are great. However, there is one female worker who, for some reason, always has the absolute worst attitude toward me (hopefully, she isnât like this with others).
The first time I came in, I had to take a family emergency call outside, which lasted about 30 minutes. When I returned, my belongings were gone, the tables were full, and she told me I couldnât just leave my things unattended. She asked where I had gone and had moved my belongings behind the bar. At that point, I had already been there for three hours, so I would think itâs reasonable to step outside for a call, especially since the music inside is so loud.
Then today, I was working here for about 1.5 to 2 hours when she came in for her shift. She started lighting the candles and asked me to finish my iced coffee because they donât allow outside drinks. I nodded in agreement and continued working since I only had about two sips left. Within the same minute, before I could finish it, she grabbed it off the table and rolled her eyes.
About 10 minutes later, she came back to my table and told me I needed to order something because âthis is a business.â I was going to order something after finishing my tasks, but she kept interrupting, so I just got up and left. Absolutely rude.
I never leave reviews on Google, but Iâm hoping management will see this and address her attitude because itâs completely...
Read moreWalked into a new spot on the block for a drink with a friend and she waited four minutes standing at the bar before being greeted by anyone behind the bar (this was a Tuesday night and there were maybe 6 people sitting at the bar, max). I asked about hot water for a version of a hot toddy and/or mocktail options and was given very lackluster answers that honestly made me feel like the service wasnât there. Not much of a solutions focus and didnât really make us feel welcome. We were told that the sofa had a party coming in but otherwise could find a seat anywhere. We sat down in a cozy nook in the back and immediately(ironic how fast he moved then) the bartender came over to tell us we needed to move for the party coming in. We then were in the bar for over 1.5 hours and during that entire time, no party came in and those seats stayed vacant.
Has potential, but as a new spot in the neighborhood, I would try to make your guests feel a bit more welcome, be willing to give a mocktail a whirl, and maybe think about if itâs truly necessary to move people if your reservation isnât coming in for at least another hour....
Read moreThe Negroni sits there, red and mean, daring you to take a sip like itâs got a grudge. Itâs three ingredientsâgin, Campari, vermouthâthrown together with all the subtlety of a punch to the face. The first sip slaps you awake, that bitter Campari cutting through your taste buds like a rusty knife, the gin lighting a fire in your veins. Vermouth? Itâs there to keep the peace, but no oneâs really listening.
You donât drink a Negroni for comfort. No, itâs for people whoâve been knocked around by life and still want more. The kind of drink that reminds you everything worthwhile comes with a sting. You donât love it, but goddamn, you respect it. You take another sip because thatâs what you doâyou keep going, bitter and bruised, knowing full well thatâs the only way to...
