The Negroni sits there, red and mean, daring you to take a sip like it’s got a grudge. It’s three ingredients—gin, Campari, vermouth—thrown together with all the subtlety of a punch to the face. The first sip slaps you awake, that bitter Campari cutting through your taste buds like a rusty knife, the gin lighting a fire in your veins. Vermouth? It’s there to keep the peace, but no one’s really listening. You don’t drink a Negroni for comfort. No, it’s for people who’ve been knocked around by life and still want more. The kind of drink that reminds you everything worthwhile comes with a sting. You don’t love it, but goddamn, you respect it. You take another sip because that’s what you do—you keep going, bitter and bruised, knowing full well that’s the only way to really live.

They did a great job of remodeling from the old Book Bar and like others have said, the ambiance is very nice and updated! Came in late afternoon and there were literally 4 other people in the place. After 5 minutes, no one came to our table so I went to the bar for a menu. All the drinks looked pretty uninspired, which would be ok if they did a great job of making them. My old fashioned just wasn’t very good. Lots of potential in this space but drinks and service need some work.

ONE YEAR LATER!!!! Bravo, good people. Thank you for all you do to give a beautiful, classy, warm, approachable spot to toast our neighbors. You do not disappoint! Blessings abound for this crew! ********************** A beautiful tribute to a beautiful friend. My Boy Tony is primed to be a welcoming, elegant, approachable community hub for evening libations and good people. Well done.

I’ll start this review by saying that I absolutely love coming here! The atmosphere and drinks are great. However, there is one female worker who, for some reason, always has the absolute worst attitude toward me (hopefully, she isn’t like this with others).

The first time I came in, I had to take a family emergency call outside, which lasted about 30 minutes. When I returned, my belongings were gone, the tables were full, and she told me I couldn’t just leave my things unattended. She asked where I had gone and had moved my belongings behind the bar. At that point, I had already been there for three hours, so I would think it’s reasonable to step outside for a call, especially since the music inside is so loud.

Then today, I was working here for about 1.5 to 2 hours when she came in for her shift. She started lighting the candles and asked me to finish my iced coffee because they don’t allow outside drinks. I nodded in agreement and continued working since I only had about two sips left. Within the same minute, before I could finish it, she grabbed it off the table and rolled her eyes.

About 10 minutes later, she came back to my table and told me I needed to order something because “this is a business.” I was going to order something after finishing my tasks, but she kept interrupting, so I just got up and left. Absolutely rude.

I never leave reviews on Google, but I’m hoping management will see this and address her attitude because it’s completely...

Walked into a new spot on the block for a drink with a friend and she waited four minutes standing at the bar before being greeted by anyone behind the bar (this was a Tuesday night and there were maybe 6 people sitting at the bar, max). I asked about hot water for a version of a hot toddy and/or mocktail options and was given very lackluster answers that honestly made me feel like the service wasn’t there. Not much of a solutions focus and didn’t really make us feel welcome. We were told that the sofa had a party coming in but otherwise could find a seat anywhere. We sat down in a cozy nook in the back and immediately(ironic how fast he moved then) the bartender came over to tell us we needed to move for the party coming in. We then were in the bar for over 1.5 hours and during that entire time, no party came in and those seats stayed vacant.

Has potential, but as a new spot in the neighborhood, I would try to make your guests feel a bit more welcome, be willing to give a mocktail a whirl, and maybe think about if it’s truly necessary to move people if your reservation isn’t coming in for at least another hour....
