Can't recommend this place and won't be coming back.
We arrived 1:30-ish. The restaurant had 5 tables including us. It took 15 minutes for our appetizer to arrive. It took another 30 minutes to get our main dishes. Chinese food does not take that long to cook, especially on a slow day.
The food had issues. -the Dynamite Shrimp arrived soggy - seemed like the shrimp could have been microwaved to thaw, then fried in too much oil and not drained. -the Mongolian Beef had a small amount of beef over a large bowl of rice. The beef was cooked inconsistently. Some pieces were a little underdone, and other pieces were charred to a crisp. Parts of the green onion were over-charred also. The flavor was decent. -the Orange Chicken had a good flavor, however it was cooked in waaay too much oil. All I could really taste was the oil. Couldn't finish it. Got an upset stomach immediately after. Also, the menu says it comes with fresh orange slices, which did not happen.
-the Rice for both dishes: we ordered BROWN rice. What we got was WHITE rice cooked with soy sauce. The soy sauce wasn't evenly mixed in so it was more like white confetti rice being passed off as brown rice. There was soy sauce pooled at the bottom of our bowls when the dishes were served.
-The atmosphere: modern, trendy, and decently clean. Bathroom not so much. The music was too loud and we had to almost shout to hear one another. We just ended up eating and not talking. -Our server: adequate, friendly, but he could have let us know what was going on that our food was taking 40 minutes in a quiet restaurant.
What I get from this place is that it is more a TGIF kind of place pretending to serve "chinese" food, poorly. Maybe it was an off day, but based on our experience, I am mystified by the number of glowing reviews. Unfortunately, I cannot give this place any kind of a...
Read moreI had a horrible experience on February 14. I had a reservation for 4 people at 4:45. We arrived at 4:30 and asked if we needed to wait or if we could be seated and the hostess said they could seat us. They took us to a smaller booth next to the window, the hostess had a really bad attitude since the get to. I asked her if we could be moved to an another booth since it was too high for my 4 year old daughter and she said they couldn’t because they had to keep the reservations and left. When the waiter (great guy) came to the table we asked him and he said he would asked, he came back and said that it was ok and moved us to a bigger booth. As soon as we seat down the hostess came over and asked who and why we moved?!?! I told her it was our waiter and the waiter said it was fine for us to seat there, she left really upset. The manager then came over and said we had to move back because they had to keep the tables to the reserved people. I told him we had a reservation but that we would left instead and he said I understand if you want go leave but if you want to stay you can go back to the other table. It was a horrible experience for my daughters my husband and I, specially since it...
Read moreVisited Saturday - December 2nd, had reservations at 5:15 for a party of 2. Upon arriving I told the hostess my reservation information and she could not hear me, the tone she used was rather blunt so my first impressions were not the best. The music was way too loud, It kind of gives a happy hour/club vibe rather than a restaurant. Plus this location is much smaller than other locations I’ve visited, we were seated at a table which was very uncomfortable. Our server was nice and patient. I ordered the crispy honey chicken with lo mein and a Shirley temple to drink. Drink was amazing, I would give the honey chicken a 4 out of 10…the inside was mushy. I had to send back my lo mein because it was flavorless, I was asked did I want to try anything else. I asked for fried rice, the rice tastes burnt. I took 2 bites, boxed the leftovers which I didn’t eat at home. I was told the lo-mein would not be added to my bill and yes they did remove it. In fact, I got my whole meal for free for the inconvenience. So that was very unexpected and appreciative. I would give it another try based on my treatment besides the...
