Edit: We finally got in touch with someone who seemed willing to try to remedy the situation and she was friendly, patient, and understanding. Apparently the eggroll issue is an ongoing problem since they switched to new ones and that's... not exactly reassuring. We're giving them one more try at her request (I wish I could name drop here because she was awesome). I'll update accordingly.
I'm so legitimately mad right now. I should've hung up the phone during ordering but went through with a costly mistake of the worst Chinese I've ever had.
To start: I asked for clarification on the style of the cashew chicken. I know the attitude towards transplants isn't great in Denver, but laughing at someone asking for clarification? What on earth?
My partner and I got the Sesame and Green bean chickens. First off, we were stiffed a pint of white rice. Second, the fried rice is literally just white rice tossed with some soy sauce. Third, my entire container had like 5 pieces of chicken (the rest was what tasted like frozen, low quality green beans). Fourth, my partner's sesame chicken had been reheated in a microwave. Fifth, our egg rolls weren't even cooked through but had raw dough on the inside.
I can't believe this cost us $35, especially since it's largely inedible. And I got made to feel like a fool.
I tried to call the restaurant to get told "nobody in charge is here, call tomorrow." I tried to just ask for help and got hung up on. I'm...
Read moreI’m from New York and from my very small town was lucky enough to have the best Chinese food ever...even surrounding towns had amazing Chinese food. I’m not sure if there is a “standard” to the way Chinese food is prepared in NY, but it has been a lot of trials and disappointment in CO with trying to find even decent Chinese Food. And once again Peter’s makes it to the disappointment list. Things to get used to with Chinese food in CO: -fried rice means, white rice tossed with soy sauce. -eggs rolls, greasy, mushy weird fishy flavored filling. -soups, lack flavor. Peter’s rice and soup have proved to be no different from all other Chinese food places in Denver. After 11 years here I guess I have to finally realize what I am in for. I read reviews before and think that, that many people can’t have bad taste, but if you e never had Chinese food from NY, have you really even had Chinese food? If you are looking for great Chinese food and have ever had any outside of CO I wouldn’t waste my $ here. If you have only had Chinese food from CO and know no different then this might be a 4 or 5 star for you. Enjoy? I think. Sesame chicken was way too breaded with mainly flour dredge and over crispy and no sauce. Beef and broccoli had other veggies added to it and had an odd spice. Additionally the beef was still red-pink in the middle. I have never had that with any beef and...
Read moreI’ve been ordering from Peters for 5 years. It’s always been delicious and delivered on time. Over the last year the product and service has dropped dramatically. Twice I’ve gotten my order practically cold when delivered almost an hour after they said it would arrive. Once my orange chicken was delivered without sauce on it. And then today, I ordered and told the person on the phone to add $3 to the bill for a driver tip. When the food arrived I told the driver the tip was already added, and the driver said it wasn’t. So I added a $3 tip on my credit charge. When I went back and added up the numbers the tip had been added on my bill and then I added another $3 tip. So I called and i was told there was a $3 delivery charge that is always added. One, so a $3 tip that I asked for was never added? And 2 I’ve never had a $3 delivery charge added, I live less than 2 miles away, a 9 minute drive in rush hour. This charge wasn’t mentioned when I ordered, isn’t mentioned on the menu and had never been added, and coincidentally is the same amount as the tip I had asked to be added to the bill. So the driver got tipped twice and the restaurant wouldn’t acknowledge it. I’m done with Peters. Quality has gone down and I don’t need to be told conflicting numbers when it comes to my orders. And the food I got, though fresh ingredients, didn’t have any flavor. ...
