I am never coming to this store again. I love Popeyes, but this store is terrible. I'm an Uber driver and came tonight to pick up 2 orders and first went to the door. Noticed it was locked and a person inside was mouthing words to me I couldn't understand or process. I assumed just the lobby was locked because a lot of places need to do that sometimes and that's okay. I proceeded to the drive thru where she spoke to the mic "thank you for coming to popeyes AGAIN, would you like to try our chicken nuggets?!" very sarcastically. Not everyone can read sarcasm well, and it didn't process until after 10 minutes from leaving. I told her I was picked up for Uber and she rudely yelled at me "We're closed!" And before I could asl about canceling or switching store locations she continued to yell at me and misgender me after being corrected multiple times. I have facial hair and a pretty deep voice, so it was incredibly insulting and condescending. As I was driving away and said thank you she continued to yell at the mic "I have no chicken to sell!"
I have worked in the service industry for 14 years and can empathize with some of the struggles that come, but I would NEVER talk to a customer like that. You never know what people are going through, I've had customers fall apart in front of me when telling me their pet died, it's about empathy/sympathy/compassion. If I ever had to be stern with someone it would only be if they were acting hostile and concern for my staff's safety. There was no danger here, and didn't even exchange the first word to deserve being talked to like that. If there's something I did and didn't realize it then my apologies, but this was not the case. Read moreI tried to go through the drive through, but the crew member, whom I later learned was the manager, told me I would need to order inside. The store had run out of CO2 (so no soda available) and the truck offloading was extremely loud. I offered to go to the window to order, but I was told no, I would need to go inside. I went inside to join a long line of clearly disgruntled customers. In the 20 minutes it took to maneuver the line and get food, four customers were served in the drive-thru. I received no explanation or apology for my inconvenience. Since I had the opportunity to wait for so long, I learned the manager was having a bad day because a coworker overslept and was late, her child had a medical appointment she was concerned about missing. I learned all of this while she stood around not helping customers and complained loudly...on my lunch hour. The late co-worker arrived with a litany of excuses, which I got to listen to. With his backpack still on, and without washing hands, he began handling food. Gross and unsanitary. When I finally received my food, the 6 chicken strips in my order looked like if they were all put together they might actually equal 2 strips. They would be more aptly described as nuggets, than strips. Read moreI went to buy a 9 piece meal and when I got home I saw that the chicken wasn't fully cooked. There was blood still showing inside. I called the manager and spoke with Anthony and asked if he could make a new batch for me which he did. I got the new order and it wasn't fully cooked as well so I called and asked for his cell phone number to send him the pics which he agreed to. After seeing the pics he apologized for the error but said that they were closing soon and wasn't anything he could do at the time and told me to come the next day for a refund and a new order. I was livid because I now didn't have dinner and was out of my 20 dollars. I called the next day and asked for the manager and told her, Tonida, what happened and she said she replaced the chicken, with not so fresh chicken, but did not honor the refund. I have the calls recorded and can send pics i took with the receipt next to it for a time stamp and I have the text from the manager who agreed on how it would be remedied. I am very disappointed in how this was handled and still have not received my refund. I have not reached out to the BBB yet in hopes that this can be remedied in-house 1st as I'd like to remain a customer. Please assist if possible and most importantly make sure the chicken is properly cooked. My order number was 78 for reference....
