Savageau Coffee and Ice Cream — Restaurant in Denver

While visiting Denver, we stumbled upon Savageau Coffee and Ice Cream and it turned out to be such a wonderful surprise. The shop was a little hard to find because of major street construction, but a kind neighbor pointed us to the back entrance. Once inside, we were warmly welcomed by the owner, Sean Moore, who took the time to chat with us and made us feel right at home.

The coffee was excellent—truly better than Starbucks—and the food was top notch as well. We enjoyed it so much that we came back every morning during our four-day stay in Denver. You must check this place out! Besides having a warm and inviting vibe, Savageau’s drinks, pastries, and ice cream are awesome!

To top it off, their staff is very personable and welcoming. This is a great spot to treat yourself after a walk or bike ride around City Park. There’s also plenty of parking if you’re out and about by car.

If you’re not a coffee drinker, their Chai tea is delicious, both hot and iced...and when the weather’s nice, you'll want to wander out to the charming courtyard out back, which is one of Denver's best kept secrets - perfect for savoring...

This little shop on Colfax is an absolute hidden gem! The construction on Colfax right now really tucks it away - but it’s WELL worth the stop. Such a cute and warm environment - perfect for a chill coffee with a friend, or even popping in to do some work (with free wifi and power strips!)

DELICIOUS pastries, and they also have other food stuffs like breakfast burritos, ice cream and oatmeal! Dog treats available too - which my husky LOVED.

My advice - go out of your way to stop here for a coffee shake with salted butterscotch ice cream. You WON’T...
