Bruz on Fax? Man, what a soulless, antiseptic void they’ve conjured up there. It’s like they took all the thrill, chaos, and unpredictability that music venues are supposed to have, vacuum-sealed it, and left behind a shiny, dead-eyed shell. Sterile is the right word—it’s as if the owners picked up a how-to manual on making a place that looks cool for Instagram but kills any sense of adventure or joy in the real, gritty world.
You walk in, and the vibe hits you like a dentist's waiting room—bland, polished, and utterly devoid of anything that makes you feel alive. The music? Might as well be Muzak echoing in the bowels of an airport bathroom. It’s not that the bands weren’t trying—it’s that the venue snuffs out any energy they might’ve brought with its clinical precision and uptight atmosphere.
And the crowd? A sorry mix of social media zombies too busy with their selfies to notice the music, too sanitized to care about anything but appearing at the next cookie-cutter spot. It’s a disgrace to the concept of live music—a performance art that’s supposed to stir the soul, not spoon-feed you corporate “vibes” on a cold, emotionless platter.
Thompson would've burned it to the ground, or at least taken a flamethrower to the neon signs. Skip Bruz unless you’re into places that make you feel like you’ve died and gone to suburbia hell. If you want a real venue, one that bleeds energy and roars with the sound of humanity, this is not your pit stop.
But if Belgium Brews is your thing, this...
Read moreBruz is an exceptionally good brewery that stands out even in Denver's crowded beer scene for beers and service that are both a perfect 5 stars. They're the only brewery that makes Belgian beers that actually taste like they're from Belgium and they're continually innovating in interesting ways. There's always something new to try, or you can go with the range of classics, which span any beer tastes you might have. I've had many great visits to this location and enjoyed consistently good service.
The one (and only) time I had a problem during one of my visits, the owners of the brewery contacted me and made up for the problem in a way that went far beyond any expectations I had. I've heard many anecdotes of other local businesses in Denver not carring about customer complaints. Bruz responded to my problem with overwhelming kindness, which shows how much they care about their customers.
If you're reading this review to pick your next drinking spot, then please, look no further. A brewery that puts this much love into quality beer and customer happiness is a place you...
Read moreFound this jewel after speaking with the proprietors at the Northglenn food truck festival this past weekend, not knowing they had a location two blocks from where I resided. After explaining that I had developed an affinity for Belgian beers from work trips with the U.S. Foreign Service (State Department) to Brussels, the owners were able to brief me on their product line and craft Belgian style beer philosophy. The establishment itself is spacious, tastefully appointed and has a variety of seating options. From an indoor bar area to an outdoor patio, and lastly a finished semi open covered space, giving the patron an ample selection from which to choose. The beer hall allows you to bring your own cuisine, which permits patrons to tailor their food options to their beer selections. On this occasion I had the pleasure to interact with Bartender Kristin, who explained the tasting notes of the various beers allowing for and educational tour of the product line. All in all a great artisanal beer...
