I thought that I was super excited about Primos opening in Colorado. The current locations are a 30+min drive for me, and I regret wasting my money this past experience. I just stopped by on 10/05 @ 3:10. I ordered a Veggie Diablo, my favorite. While searching through my phone for my friends order, I was asked if I would like lettuce, tomatoes, and onion on my veggie. At first, I said yes because I was half focused on the question. I immediately changed my response to "no, I want it exactly how it's supposed to come". I pointed up to the menu and how it's advertised. I was then asked what type of pepper (and I was given options) and the same for the cheese. Both times, I responded with "I want it exactly how it's supposed to come" and pointed to the advertised menu. I mentioned no adjustments/ alternatives. The same questions were asked about my friend's Italian Diablo, and oil/ vinegar and mustard were supposed to be the only additions. I also asked for a receipt, but for some reason, the printer or employee was having issues, and I never received one. I received my order after a wait and drove another 30+ mins to eat our anticipated food. When I opened my "veggie diablo" I was so disappointed at what was inside. It wasn't a veggie Diablo at all. No long hots! No broccoli rabe! And it had lettuce tomatoes and onions! I didn't realize I had to spell out to an employee what comes on a sandwich, especially because your menu states what comes on it! I regret wasting all of that money on an incorrect order as well as on my gas and time spent going out of my way that day. The sandwiches are a bit pricey to begin with, but I decided I would have a treat-yo-self moment. I treated myself to total disappointment. I do not plan on returning to this location ever again. I am from NJ, and I truly believe that these issues need to be addressed in order for Primos to survive out here in Co. Friends have mentioned the same thing about this location. Times where they were missing items on their sandwich (the way it was advertised) or they felt like it was more like a generic "sub" spot where the employee was trying to get them to add or alter the sandwich with different options. Although this is a possibility, it should not be pushed!! The advertised sandwiches are there for a reason! I can not bring myself to go to this location again. I will try my local spot in Westminster when it opens, otherwise I will just stick to Primos in NJ when I go back to visit throughout the year.

The food here is exactly as it should be, fresh and delicious. If you want an authentic Philly Hoagie of top notch quality, Primo's is the place to get it. FYI, if the seeded bread is too hard for you, order your next sandwhich on the unseeded. Let me say I spent 50 years in the Philly metro. Primo's was one of my favorite hoagie shops so I had very high expectations for this local Denver shop. It's about a 40 minute drive for me to get here, one way, so I waited to go until they had a few weeks to work out the kinks. I can honestly say that the quality of product and feel of the Primo's I'm used to were spot on at this location. The sandwhiches were made from the same high quality meats & cheeses that I was used to in Philly along with the seeded bread, my personal favorite. They've done a great job of holding to their own standard set back when the owner wouldn't expand out of the Philadelphia area for fear of losing quality. Rest assured there have not been any downgrades. The face-to-face service was good with very friendly staff and the only complaint I would have is that it felt like they are still tweaking the work flow with things being a little discombobulated when it came to ordering and pick-up of food. I can't wait for the next one to open in Westminster, a much shorter drive for me.

Bro this is not the spot. The prices are insane. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak. It was mediocre at best. After tax and tip I spent nearly $20 on a shmedium sized sandwich and a bottled water. They don’t offer water cups. They have hot peppers, sweet peppers and cherry peppers but no traditional bell peppers that should be offered with a cheesesteak. I was thoroughly disappointed and won’t be returning. Staff was nice and they’re saving you from a 1 star review. They recommend putting lettuce, tomato and onion on pretty much every sandwich including the philly. That’s a head scratcher. There are a lot better options for food in the area at a more reasonable price.

It's really unfortunate I have to change my review; I already called in and spoke to Aaron, who was super apologetic and understanding and every other time I've gone in I've interacted with George (owner) who was also always a pleasure. Last week (8.16 around 515p) I came in with my husband for the first time - generally I pick up for the fam on my way from work, waaaay out of my way. Long story short three employees were talking (whispering) amongst themselves thinking we could not hear, and insulted my husband by calling him a fat f--k and one guy said he could "steal her from him if I wanted". Incredibly disgusting and disrespectful. On top of that, we ordered 4 hoagies because it wasn't just for us, and since they were giggling and whispering when I was ordering and went to get a bag of chips (which were stale as hell and tasted really, really god awful), they only gave us two of the four we ordered. Those two weren't even made correctly with how we placed the order, and were SO soggy! This is the first time the food sucked, the service sucked, and the Herrs chips sucked. All around a $45 order WITH TIP (regretfully) a complete waste of money. Being from South Jersey I was SO excited for this location to open out here, but I honestly won't ever be back, and I won't ever recommend this location to anyone else. Fire those employees, they will only continue to lose you business and clearly do not care how they represent the brand. Disappointing.

ORIGINAL REVIEW -- I'm originally from South Jersey....YES this is THE BEST Italian hoagie shop you will find in Colorado. Hands down, no other sandwich shop anywhere in this state will you find better. I'm so happy they've finally opened and they kept their menu authentic to their original locations back East (unlike Jersery Mike's...no, pepperoni doesn't go on an Italian hoagie..ever). Their staff is super friendly as well, and the owner of the location (George) is awesome. Highly HIGHLY recommend checking Primos out! Truly live up to the name,...

I never give 1 star reviews. As someone originally from Pennsylvania, I was very happy when I was made aware that Primo Hoagies was going to come to Colorado! They were great in the beginning, but the staff at this location seem to not care about what customers order. Back in July '24, I purchased 2lbs of macaroni salad, and was only given a quarter pound. They were closed by the time I got home, I reached out to corporate about it (as that was the only contact avenue on the website), and no one reached out to me to remedy the mistake. I tried a few more times and there were always misses with the sides, but no big deal, I wanted to support the business, even though it was annoying.

However today was my last straw. I decided to order from this location off of Door Dash. Primo Hoages gave me something im allergic to to eat. I have an allergy to certain peppers that are in the diablo sandwiches, so I stay away I ordered a mild Italian, and I go to eat it, and it was incredibly spicy and I had an allergic reaction. This is NOT okay.

I already got a refund through door dash, but Primos also , yet AGAIN, gave me the wrong side.

I am done with Primos now, thanks for ruining it!

The food is good, won't lie. I just can't eat what I'm allergic to. The staff needs to get their crap together. Check your stuff before you leave if you order pickup, they cannot be trusted at this point.

I hate being Kareny, but this is a health/safety issue now at this point. Be...
