Delicious authentic teriyaki and great prices, interior could use some additional flare.
Rating: 4.6 Interior: It has a takeout vibe to it, you go stand in line and order your food followed by someone calling your number. No frills here. It didn’t seem like tables were cleaned often which I didn’t like, but it was lunch rush hour and there were a ton of high schoolers coming in with only 3 staff, so I think their primary focus was on getting food out to customers. Otherwise, it had a pleasant interior with an easy to understand menu and pricing. Food: I ordered the chicken teriyaki with shrimp and WOW it was good. It comes on a bed of white rice with seasoned and grilled cabbage and broccoli, a grilled chicken thigh and 3 large grilled shrimp - throw some teriyaki sauce on there and its a party in your mouth. My coworker who is from Seattle and used to teriyaki joints said this place is the only spot in Denver that reminds him of home - seems like a good accreditation to have.
Come back? : Absolutely. I’d start exploring the menu more, but I think he chicken and shrimp will be a staple for me. At the price point (~$8.50) its...
Read moreChicken Teriyaki is by far my favorite place to eat in all of Denver. The atmosphere, price, and food make this place a usual for me when I'm hungry. The owners of the restaurant never fail to make this an amazing place to eat. I am always greeted with a smile and my order always comes correctly and fairly quick. The price of the food is very reasonable as well for the portion size. You're given a lot of food for typically under $10. Finally, the food is amazing. There's a wide variety to choose from (noodles, sushi, chicken/beef dishes, etc.) and everything I have tried, which is a lot, has always met my expectations. The teriyaki sauce, by the way, is to die for. I always order extra on the side because it tastes so good. If you're looking for a recommendation on what to get, here's my personal favorite: -Chicken Teriyaki and Gyoza plate -Shrimp Tempura roll -Large drink
All in all, Id recommend this restaurant to anybody looking for a place to eat. I live 20 minutes away and it's well worth the drive. 5...
Read moreThis is one of my favorite Japanese restaurant for healthy fast affordable food. I really love their combo options as they are pretty fulfilling, delicious, and pretty affordable. Teriyaki salmon and tempura combo seems like not much food at first sight but it comes with great portion as rice comes on side and it's pretty fulfilling. The tempura (&teriyaki sauce) is very delicious and I am in beyond love with their sauté veggies. The restaurant is to-go order vibe. Although they have a few dining tables and have open for dining sign, they serve their food in to-go box with plasticware. So if you don't finish your food, it's pretty convenient to just take leftover home. Not a romantic dinner plan vibe but strongly recommend for delicious affordable...
