This original Bros. BBQ location at Monaco & Leetsdale is still as good as it used to be. From start to finish, it was a great experience - the perfectly-fitting decor inside was warm and welcoming, almost "putting you in the mood", if you know what I mean. In the mood for BBQ that is! Get your mind out of the gutter! Really though, it was tip-top clean, smelled of freshly grilled specialty meats, and the boys who were working were so friendly & helpful. I suppose we could fairly call this Bros. location "vintage", being that they first opened in 1998, and it still looked just as it did back then. I was in my freshman year of college when they first opened and I remember how hip the place was - this of course being because the owners were a youthful 21 & 23-years-old that year. Now in my 40s, and a lot less "hip" myself, I couldn't help but think that it would probably still be considered a "cool" place to eat by the younger population. But don't mistake all that for being the restaurant's primary focus - it was back then, and still is now, all about the BBQ - fresh, filling & delicious. Way to go guys - you've done what only a few restaurant owners in Denver could do: throughout the explosion of our beloved D-Town over the last 20+ years, going from the little city it was to the mass metropolis it is today - you've maintained excellent customer service, a great, clean & welcoming atmosphere, and most importantly,...
Read moreI visited Brother’s BBQ on Memorial Day with my child and a friend. The atmosphere was welcoming, the staff were very kind and patient, and the restaurant appeared clean and well-kept overall. It was busy during our visit, but everyone handled the rush well.
I ordered the two-meat combo with BBQ chicken and hot links, alongside baked beans and mac & cheese. My child had the brisket sandwich with mac & cheese, and my friend ordered hot links with fries. Everything was decent, and I appreciated being able to satisfy my craving for a hearty BBQ meal.
If I had to note a few areas for improvement, I’d say the mac and cheese could’ve used a little more flavor, the BBQ sauce was a bit strong, and I personally like my baked beans on the sweeter side. The brisket was slightly dry, and the hot link portion was smaller than expected—but nothing major
We spent around $46–$49 total, and while I felt the meal met the craving, I wasn’t quite sure it justified the price point. Still, I appreciated the service and how polite and attentive the staff were throughout our time there.
Overall, it was a good experience for what we came for. I don’t think we’d rush back, but I’m glad we tried it. It hit the spot for a barbecue moment, and I’d recommend it to someone looking for a casual, friendly spot to get...
Read moreI just ordered GrubHub on a Saturday evening. We paid for a order that is supposed to be a 1/4 lb. each of different kinds of meat as part of a combo meal with 3 sides ($39+). Driver got here and delivered what he was given... No sides. Additionally what's pictured is what we received; I highly doubt that this is a quarter pound each. We are trying to call the restaurant as I am writing this, but it keeps going to a message that says that the user is busy; have been trying now for 20 minutes. Driver is now returning with the food they 'forgot' to give them. I'm not trying to be a squeaky wheel, and I'm not the type to leave nasty reviews; but places like this that don't even answer their phone... Well, it speaks for itself. I wanted to support and try a new local business, but I might as well have just ordered from Famous Dave's. If I could have reached anyone, this post wouldn't have been written.
Update... We finally got our sides without any contact from the restaurant... Cold, tiny...
