Was happy to try Sweetgreen. I had never heard of it before but have always been a fan of this type of restaurant. I went with my son on Friday at about 1pm and expected it to be very busy due to the location and time of day, but it was empty. The staff was very nice and prompt with their service. I usually don't eat steak, but it was the only option for protein that they provided, so I went with the Garlic Beef Protien plate. In my opinion it was OK. The beef was kind of bland. They recommended the pesto sauce, and I wasn't a big fan of the flavor combination. I really did like the sweet potatoes, though. They were very good. Portion size wasn't bad. I ended up buying my sons bowl, and he got the miso glazed salmon salad with a scoop of chicken added on. The salmon was good. It had a nice flavor. The miso glaze wasn't overpowering. I was surprised they added a whole egg to the bowl if you ordered eggs, and they gave you half of an avocado as well. (Extra charge, btw) We got the green godess dressing, and i must say... it was amazing! I ended up using it on my steak plate as well instead of the pesto! The thing that really bothered me about his bowl was that it cost $26!!!! $26 for a mid-sized salad is a little crazy in my opinion. I might try it again, but I won't go...
Read moreI ordered our salads online on our way home from the airport. We swung by Chick-fil-A for the kids and then ended up at sweet greens 15 minutes early. No-one was in the restaurant so I went into the line and asked the people at the store if they could just make my salad because I was there, as if I was ordering it in person. They said no, they could not, there were people ahead of me with online orders. I was surprised and annoyed, I have ordered from sweet Greens once or twice a week for our family for the past year. I asked if they would make my salad if I ordered another one right there and they said "yes, what can I make for you?" I said forget it, we'll come back in 15 minutes to which they said fine- as they all looked at me sideways and irritated. As I walked out, someone new came in and placed an order which they immediately made for them. I get that there is a process, but this just seemed irrational, and they were so rude. (I admit I was being rude as well because I just didn't get it, and I was tired and annoyed from a full day of travel). It's just frustrating to me when you are a loyal customer to a restaurant, and they disappoint like this. I can honestly say, after an experience like that, I will not go back, and they...
Read moreI visited Sweetgreen today and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience. Upon entering with my trained and well-behaved service dog, I immediately noticed a not-so-welcoming attitude from one of the employees, who happened to be the manager. Despite being the only customer in the restaurant and maintaining a friendly demeanor, I was met with unnecessary rudeness.
After ordering and spending about $40 on lunch, the manager approached me in a harsh tone, telling me that my dog couldn’t touch the counter. I hadn’t noticed this until she pointed it out, and while I understand the policy, her delivery was unprofessional and unfriendly. It’s all in how you communicate, especially with customers who are being polite.
The negative energy in the restaurant was palpable, and it was clear the staff’s attitude was being affected by the manager’s behavior. I genuinely feel sorry for the team working under such a toxic environment. Overall, this was a terrible customer service experience, and I won’t...
