Tried this place for the first time today. We love breakfast and brunch restaurants and this one is well rated. The location is a little odd as it is in an office building in the ground floor. If driving from I-25 and Orchard, keep a look out for a sharp right turn just before the entrance to the Double Tree Hotel. They do have some outdoor seating that looks nice for when the weather warms up.

Despite the "Open" signs, it was hard to tell if they actually were open because it was so dark and dim inside. It was a bit empty when we were seated around 8:40 am (on a Friday) but started to pick up a little while we were there. Atmosphere is quiet with heavy drapes, upholstered bench booth seating and interior windows that open to the office building interior walkway/courtyard. French music sets the Cafe tone.

The server was very friendly, attentive, and quick.

The cappuccino was excellent, very foamy. I had read about the creamy mushroom Champagne sauce so I tried that with the eggs Benedict with croissant instead of English muffin. The sauce was incredible and the eggs perfectly poached. The Canadian bacon was tough and overcooked. The croissant needed a bit longer in the oven...it was not crispy at all, sadly, so I skipped most of it. The home style potatoes were served as a very small portion. They were passable but a little dry.

The other dish was the French platter with the portion being a bit more generous. It was okay, but the same sauce really made the dish. We also asked for a pancake on the side and they gave us 3! Fluffy and a lovely golden brown, they were good.

For the price I probably would not do breakfast there again but I would pick up a coffee and maybe a pastry from the selection they had in the front entrance. Perhaps consider lunch...Glad we tried it but It was...

Solid service, decent food

The wait staff were well conducted and cleanly. The bussing of tables was done efficiently although the overall effect was somewhat disrupting.

I came during the late lunch hour and enjoyed escargot and the house omelet. While the escargot was good the omelet was only acceptable. The bowl of fruit that was served with it had poor presentation and for some reason included a parsley sprig (why this is common place I have no idea but it’s nonsensical). The texture of the omelet was by far the best thing about it achieving a nice fluffiness however, the meal as a whole lacked freshness. I asked for the house potato and received hash browns which while good were most evidently not made in house.

My mocha was good but not excellent.

The overall atmosphere was lacking, perhaps it was the time of day that I came but it lacked fineness. There were no quiet corners that could teleport me to Paris instead a cafe with the goal of providing a facade to the inexperienced. I intended to spend a few hours but they gave me my check as I finished my meal. It’s certainly not a place to spend the day and enjoy slowly, which in my experience, true French cafes are.

All this having been said, my overall experience...

A Hidden Gem Near Yale King Soopers

We visited this delightful restaurant after hearing great things from friends who had enjoyed lunch here — and it did not disappoint! Tucked away near Yale King Soopers, this spot has a cozy, European charm with a menu that pulls inspiration from both Italy and France.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, friendly, and efficient. We were immediately served an incredible plate of warm, toasted fresh bread — honestly, the best bread we've ever eaten.

For starters, we tried the Sweet Chili Calamari, which was perfectly lightly breaded and tossed in a flavorful sweet chili sauce. Our Caesar and House salads were fresh, crisp, and generously portioned — great for sharing.

For entrées, we had the Steak Maître d’Hotel, Salmon au Citron, Chicken Artichoke, and Chicken Parmesan. Every dish was made to order, beautifully presented, and full of fresh, well-balanced flavors.

Surprisingly, there were only four tables occupied when we dined on a Saturday night — which makes this feel like an undiscovered gem. We truly wish more people knew about this place!

If you're looking for an exceptional meal with attentive service and a relaxing atmosphere, this is the place....

This restaurant took me completely by surprise. I was meeting a friend for brunch, and this was a place she decided upon. It's in the outdoor shopping plaza at University Hills, basically a large strip mall. I pulled up in front of the restaurant, and it just blended in with its surroundings, but when I walked it, I was struck at how pleasant and inviting the atmosphere was. It belied the strip mall shell in which it was encased. I was seated and the server very promptly introduced himself and offered me a beverage, but I decided to wait until my friend arrived. While waiting I looked through the menu and again was surprised and impressed. It is very extensive and creative. My friend arrived and in her recommendation we both had the French onion soup, I ordered the spinach quiche and she ordered a salad. The quiche was not quite warmed enough, but it was very tasty. Despite the temperature, I enjoyed it very much. Throughout our time there he server was very attentive and very cordial. Overall it was a very good experience and I would definitely recommend trying it, and I will definitely be back again. I deducted one star on the food, only because the quiche should've been a little hotter, but that was minor.

One the best French Cafes in Denver. The food was great, service was fast and good ambience to make your experience amazing. I would recommend their breakfast platters and eggs. The location is easy to find and ample parking space in the market place. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Second time here. I rarely complain and usually treat wait staff respectfully. Food is decent to ok for a French restaurant except for the fact that there was a hair in my food! (see picture). Also, wait staff was unprofessional when we complained, almost like we were irritating them for bringing up any issues. Ordered a 6 dollar latte, which was a basic cup of coffee, not a latte. The two women who "helped" us were at the bar enjoying some alcohol together. To top it off they put a processing non-standard almost 10%fee on each item you get unless you pay with cash, PLUS a sales tax fee. They must not train staff to explain this before you order and eat. Expect to have a bigger price amount than the menu price shows. They should tell customers this beforehand, place it on the menu and change how they itemize the bill for transparency. There is a nice ambience here. That was the only good thing about my experience.
