Swift's Breakfast House — Restaurant in Denver

2nd visit Update 10/3/19 I placed my order which they let me know I would receive my order in 15-20 minutes which was nice to know. I ordered the double steak & egg meal. Medium rare, eggs over easy running, wheat toast, hash browns crispy. Whelp one egg was runny one egg wasn't. Wth?! Toast, steak and hash browns were really good. I had a bettsr experience customer service and cook wise. The egg situation is killing me though. Runny eggs is my thing especially on toast. I'm glad I gave it another chance but with the wait and no runny egg situation this will be a special occasion once in a while event. I loved the sign on the register.

First visit Service was okay let me tell you why. This was my first time here. I walked in not knowing the process which had me at a disadvantage. I walked to the to go order and placed my order. 10 minutes later I was still waiting. Another ten minutes my order was up and I paid. The cashier was nice but I didn't find out until I got back to work I had no wheat toast was given white instead, the over easy eggs were hard and the hash browns were mushy.

I got the double steak and eggs meal. The steak was delicious I'm negl but everything else was a mess. I had heard about this place from coworkers and thought I would give it a try. 23 minutes from the time I entered until getting my order is way too much time. Especially if your on a break. Usually mom and pop places are fast because they know you have to get back to work.

I'm going to give them another chance but I'll be specific with my order. Eggs over easy runny, hash browns crispy, wheat toast. If its the same type of service then I'll not be spending my hard...

This place embodies everything that I expect to find in one of Denver's best diners. The atmosphere is delightfully welcoming, the service is excellent, the food is delicious and incredibly-well priced. I've been here a couple of times while getting my car worked on at Bud's Muffler (also a great establishment) and each time I was able to quickly find a seat, get coffee, and put in my order.

First trip: I was getting a new muffler on my car (the old one rusted right off) and asked the guys at Bud's muffler where they thought I should go for breakfast. They recommended Swift's, and I was incredibly pleased with the experience. After being served a hot cup of coffee, I ordered their Supreme Burrito and it was excellent. The portion was enormous and the price was right. I planned on visiting this place any time my car needed work.

Second trip: Today, my car had a need for some more work (check engine light) so I took it back to Bud's Muffler (best check engine light fixers in Denver) and headed over for to Swift's to relax while they worked on my car. This time, I ordered their "World's Best Omelette" and was again, incredibly pleased with the portion, the taste, and the price of my food.

Swift's is great. It's worth visiting any time you have a chance. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for that classic diner vibe in Denver.

A large group entered just before my wife and I came in so they were busy, to be fair and under staffed.

My order came, eggs over easy with sausage and potatoes. Waitress said I’ll be right back with your toast.

5 minutes later 2 perfectly roasted hot pieces of toast arrived. Unfortunately my eggs were by then ice cold. I’m a toast dipped into egg eater.

It took another 5 minutes to get the waitresses attention and I told her my eggs were cold by the time my toast arrived and she said she could heat them up for me if I wanted. Seriously heat up already slightly over cooked eggs?? I was done with her by that time and I pushed my plate to her and told her I was done, a full plate of mostly uneaten food.

As my wife finished her meal the waitress stopped by and ask if I wanted a new breakfast and I said no. Too late for that as we were leaving soon.

She brought bill by and as I turned it over she told me to take a dollar off the total because of the eggs. I wondered about the rest of it but kept my thoughts to myself. Paid the bill and left without a word.
