A Hidden Gem in Denver – Comfortable, Cool, and Well Thought Out! We stayed at The Acoma House while visiting Denver and had a wonderful experience. Before arrival, we received all the codes and instructions we needed, which made the self-check-in process smooth and easy, perfect since there’s no front desk on site.
The exterior in the front is unassuming but don’t let that fool you, the space inside is modern, clean, and really well-equipped. We arrived a early (check-in is at 4 PM), and one of the hotel attendants kindly let us know our room would be ready soon and allowing us to check in early, huge plus! They also have a secure bag storage area, which is a great feature for travelers. The same attendant even helped carry our bags down the steep stairs to the storage locker and explained how to use the self-service key system.
Our room was fantastic. It had a full-size fridge, microwave, dishware, utensils, coffee maker, tea kettle, dish rack, cleaning supplies, you name it. It felt more like a studio apartment than a hotel room. The queen bed was extremely soft (which I loved, though my partner prefers something firmer), and there was a comfortable sitting area, a large closet, and a nicely sized bathroom. The closet was chalk full of helpful things, step stool, extra blanket, iron with board. The air conditioning was excellent and truly saved us during a string of 95+ degree days.
We had a little hiccup finding the remote, but after texting the number provided in the room (even though it was after 6 PM), an attendant responded quickly with detailed help. Once we got the TV going, we were thrilled to find it came with access to streaming platforms like HBO, Netflix, and Hulu, no logins required.
If I had one small critique, it would be the limited counter space in the bathroom and the very light water pressure from the shower. That said, the water temperature was easy to control, and everything else made up for it.
Overall, this was a fantastic stay. Great location, responsive and helpful staff, thoughtfully designed rooms, and tons of amenities. We’ll definitely be booking The Acoma House again on our next...
Read moreThis was by far one of the cutest places we’ve stayed at in Denver. We started off our visit at Acoma very pleased as we got to check in early. The place is super bright and fun, the doors were solid… and I was impressed… like where do they get doors like that? I probably mentioned it every time I went in. They were very accommodating, there was water, coffee, sugar…all the surplus things we could need right outside our room. Plus they had makeup removing cloths and wipes, and a toothbrush! Ironically forgot ours on our trip and stayed at another air bnb the night before and had to make an extra stop to get one, wish we would have stayed here first! There is no elevator so it’s only stair access or you have to be able to fly! Location was great, it’s literally next door to the Denver Art Museum. Found out a lot about some boring moon bowls… a lot of moon bowls, but there was a very interesting showing of an artist who pained a lot of naked men, that was very interesting! You’ll have to see it for yourself! We ate a lot of food, probably more than we should have but there’s a lot of places to go! Also I NEVER EXPECT to have a great view of anything in the city! I usually end up staying somewhere facing the back ally of someone else’s apartment, looking directly in their windows… BUT THIS TIME, we were facing the huge parking lot! It was honestly one of the best views we’ve had, it felt so open!! One of the best views you can give me is of a bakery/treat shop! You will get a wonderful view of TIFFS TREATS! GO THERE!! The cookies are amazing!! Tell them the girl with the gauges sent you! I would recommend staying here if you don’t want some boring run of the mill air...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Acoma House, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish.
The decor is simply stunning. Seriously. Every detail is thoughtfully curated, creating a fashionable yet cozy feeling. We stayed in Suite 208, and Kaitlin Ziesmer's artwork matched perfectly with all of the design touches. We couldn't stop pointing out things - "Look at the bird claw table! That's so adorable! It matches perfectly with the egg nest lamp." Our suite was a dream - immaculately clean and incredibly comfortable. The bed was plush, and the amenities provided were top-notch (and gorgeous to boot).
The location is fantastic, situated perfectly in the downtown area, allowing us to ferry between local spots quickly and easily. We loved being able to walk to nearby restaurants and shops, and there were so many things within a ten minute drive.
Check-in and check-out were absolutely seamless. The ease of communication with the staff - who are actual humans, and not just an automated system which was fantastic - was also a highlight. They were always quick to respond and incredibly helpful, ensuring that all our needs were met.
The Acoma House exceeded all our expectations. It's obvious that this business is a labor of love from the moment you arrive. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfect getaway. I can’t...
