door dash order Hate, hate leaving negative reviews for small businesses because I know how impactful they can be (especially for new establishments with all 5 stars). To me, any claims of food-related sickness is the most serious claim that can be made so I do not take this review lightly. Working with door dash for a resolution & submitted feedback to the merchant. I’ll later edit this review with more info based on the response I receive.
Today, I ordered a latte, bagel sandwich, & blueberry muffin. Only had a few sips of coffee & it tasted great. I had 2 bites of the bagel & ended up discarding the muffin out of food quality concerns. The bagel sandwich was so frustrating & I believe this is what brought on seemingly food-sickness/painful symptoms within 30 min of eating. Bagel itself was chewy but nothing too concerning. However, the egg patty was so over cooked - gray on the inside & also chewy. The bacon was raw in portions, zero crispiness, VERY oily & seemed as if it was a bad/old batch of microwavable bacon (just my opinion). The chipotle sauce… there was so much I had to take 2 paper towels to wipe it off the top bagel half, the bacon, etc. Love my condiments but was genuinely taken aback with the sheer volume of sauce pouring out of the sandwich. Again, my opinion, but my assumption is that the bagel sandwich is what made me feel so sick, so suddenly, & gave me stomach cramps. I’m not aware of any food allergies that could be blamed. If my reaction was due to poor quality - that’d be disappointing as proper management of food inventory (use by dates) & temperature regulation is pretty straight forward. Especially with a small menu & food items with 5 or less ingredients.
The ONLY redeeming qualities were the latte with pumpkin spice flavoring & half/half (props to whoever made the cute latte art). The food packaging was also great compared to most other cafes on door dash that I’ve tried. Packaging is important for any to-go food service since it’ll never be as good as the real thing served inside.
No telling if the coffee is what I had an adverse reaction but can confidently say it was prepared so well (& I’ve tried aloooooot of Denver cafes on door dash). Whoever is reading this - if you take anything from this, I recommend avoiding the bagel sandwich at all costs & despite the low review, still give the coffee/latte’s a chance. Due to sickness, anything over 1 stars would be dishonest & very unlikely to revisit. But, if I had just ordered the latte - Drip Cafe would easily get 5...

Read moreI recently came across this café, and I want to clarify something important. The one-star and negative reviews are clearly fake—posted by protesters making false allegations against the owner. Contrary to their claims, the owner is not a KKK member; in fact, he’s a tan, Hispanic-looking man who is actively helping the community.
This café hires homeless individuals and gives them opportunities to get back on their feet—a real effort to make a positive impact. The people spreading these negative reviews have no real evidence to support their claims of homophobia. Perhaps the owners simply hold traditional Christian beliefs, which include teachings about sexuality. That doesn’t equate to hatred. You can care about someone without agreeing with all of their choices.
At the end of the day, this café is doing far more good for the community than those protesters, who seem more interested in promoting their own agendas than actually helping anyone.
Someone should make a video and go up to the protesters, saying, "Hey, I’m homeless and need a place to stay—would you give me a job where you work?" And when they say no, just turn around and say, "Well, this café gave me a job. So I guess they’re not the ones lacking...
