Museo is one of those places that holds it down. All the way 10 toes down. I've been coming to the spot for years and if that's some of my dopest, deepest cultural experiences here. I've seen friends of mine exhibited here. Most recently I walked around with the curator and the museum director to discuss the Anthony Quinn exhibit, a wondrous, insightful, fun, and intimate experience with one of the greatest Latino actors and relatively unknown Latino artists of the time. This is one of the places on Santa Fe that I come back to, as gentrified and colonized and otherized as the area has become, this is a place with roots is deepest cholas with big hoops, keeping it cultural and community. She had a strong elitist personality and it was clear she was very fake. Then my friend went a few weeks later on a Tuesday and complained to me there wasn't anyone manning the front desk and a lady came up to help had a very poor attitude and fake laughed at him over a joke he didn't understand. The exhibit was great, love the history of Yanga, but man does the staff suck. I hope they improve because it's not worth dealing with...
