I have never felt compelled to write a review while still dining as much as I do right now… The universe brought me here this morning to savor and appreciate all that is life 😂 I am from out of town so google maps is my guide to all things. How this is rated 4.3 blows my mind from the experience I am having. Solid 5.0 and beyond I am in heaven with this country chicken vegetables and egg, flavor out of this world sauce was delectable. Perfection I had a cup of hot coffee with a splash of cream and drop of syrup since the name I had to work it in my meal somehow. They also have nitro cold brew, mimosas and an extensive list of great options for food. I read the room a bit when I arrived in terms of seating. I am an outdoor patio person to the max. There was a small wait so I pivoted to bar seating which was equally great. Eric was on top of it making sure everything was top notch and doing 1000 things. Kathryn was so sweet and accommodating at the hostess stand. Come check out the new menu! Epic

Minimal service, bland food, great location. I couldn't remember exactly why I haven't been here since the place opened. I live in the neighborhood and walk by regularly. The only thing I remember distinctly from my first visit was a former mayor Wellington Webb sighting. So, my family and I decided to revisit the place. We love breakfast and this place is much closer for us than Snooze or Jelly, or Devil's Food, or Waffle Bros or Four Friends (all places that are MUCH better for breakfast). Syrup is walking distance for us, and that's part of the reason it's such a bummer that this place just isn't good. First, let's talk about the food. Their churro donut is good. How can it not be? Fried dough to dip in salted caramel and/or Nutella is going to be difficult to mess up. But it definitely could be better. The rest was truly disappointing. The Cherry Creek Bennie, which includes the words "award winning" in the description, is BLAND. It "looks" right, but it doesn't taste like anything. Straight butter would have more flavor than the hollandaise sauce. The corned beef is the only thing you can taste. The same inexplicable lack of flavor was true for the chicken and waffles my wife ordered. I've had store bought frozen chicken fingers that were more flavorful. The chicken they use seems like frozen Sysco tenders. They haven't been brined and the batter does nothing for them. These are "protein sticks" on waffles. All you taste in each bite is whatever you dip it in. Syrup has an obsession with tater tots. My plate came with maybe a pound of tots. Mashed tots. Why do they mash them? They half-assedly crush some of the tots with a fork, as if their diners are incapable of chewing their own food. These are chain-food Sysco tots. They are nothing special at all; kind of like the rest of the food. Most plates come completely inundated with tater tots. I'm talking two large servings from Sonic per plate, crowding away the rest of the food. Is this how they feel they justify charging people $16 for a flavorless benedict? It's as if they are trying to distract diners with a mountain of (cheaply made) food. The coffee is weak too! Our service was bad too. My wife worked in the service industry for decades. When she starts telling me to lower the tip amount, things have gone poorly. We saw her when she took our order, when we were finished with our meal, and when she brought us our check. We had to flag down other people for refills on coffee, water, etc. I wanted some hot sauce or something to make my bland food better, but I gave up. I saw other servers there doing a much better job. We were just unlucky. While I'm here, I feel I need to mention their total non-sequitur shirts/branding. Their shirts, which the staff wear and are sold as merchandise, have lame marijuana puns. "Buy local hash," in an amateurish font and layout screams legal weed exploitation. It's just another bit of tastelessness that seems to be the only coherent and consistent attribute on offer. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. Go somewhere good for breakfast. Or make your own. This place is a waste of space.

My family and I went here for a breakfast and a family reunion. The grandkids love pancakes and syrup. I was hoping for a good breakfast. The menu offered a wide variety of food. A fruit cup seemed like a nice addition to our meal. Two others and I ordered eggs over easy. The meal included toast, bacon and a fruit cup. I can only wonder if the number of dishes to be prepared had something to do with the quality of the food that was served. My eggs were overdone while my daughter's eggs were undercooked. I asked for the bread toast and got some toast that was okay but not the. The fruit cup can only be described as sad and rubbery as though it was prepared a few days before. The one saving grace of the day was the bacon. Crispy, tasty bacon. Yummmm. The atmosphere was nice-ish with the chance to sit outside but the volume of the music made conversation difficult at best. All in all I think if a person was to go to a charming cafe with great service this would be the place to go. I do believe the sheer number of orders (8) at one time overwhelmed the cook. Just skip the fruit cup unless you like rubbery fruit that tastes like pineapple, rather than melons and pineapple. Oh I might also add the coffee was good (I don't generally drink coffee) and the service was splendid. My thanks to an overwhelmed service staff. You were great!

🤤🤤🤤🤤 This is a portrait of my friends and me drooling over the Crack Bacon. Okay SO. A month or two ago, my dear friend Evie brought us here for her birthday! I had some kickass pancakes with all this fruit and walnut butter explosion going on, and she had this killer French toast (pictured). The four of us split two plates of Crack Bacon, also known as the greatest bacon you'll ever have in your life. If you fear public restrooms (though the ones here are nice), have this last and then go straight home. Whilst we enjoyed are lovely brunch complete with a carafe of delicious mimosas, we also enjoyed the light atmosphere of Syrup. The place itself was very well lit which helped me through my hangover, but the attitude of the employees was also light! All of us commented on how sweet and good they all were with each other, and we really appreciated this one girl's hearty and contagious laugh. I just wanted to say that was really cute in case she reads this. Das it ✌️

I don't know if it's legal to say this without being chased out of Denver with torches and pitchforks but I think Syrup might be better than Snooze. I did not try this place for the first year of being here. I'm a designer and I haven't tried the place mainly because I don't like the logo, but I've been seeing it near downtown and city park that I thought I'd finally try. It did not disappoint. This is simply great food competently made. Four of us went and all of us enjoyed what we ordered. The place was pretty busy but at least we got a table without a wait. Probably because the place is large. This location also has the view of the city park if you'd like to sit outside. Just like snooze, this is a place to take your visiting friends for a great breakfast/brunch. After the meal, you can just walk around the city park.

ordered online take-out to what I thought was this location, but was actually a different location. they told me that my order was ready at cherry creek. I asked them if I could instead pick up the order here, but they said I would have to pay again. which business wise totally makes sense, but I'm bummed the gal there did not take into consideration my puffy eyes that had been crying from a rough morning. so that's why they get 3 stars for their okay service. so I went to cherry creek and got my food. it had foil inside the styrofoam so it wasn't as cold as I expected it to be after the long wait! very basic meal. not worth the $16 though, go somewhere cheaper like snooze. overall I am slightly less depressed than when I began this journey.
