Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Deptford Township

Went to applebees per usual they were busy because it was a saturday. It took 10 minutes to be sat which is expected the waitress comes over introduces herself (I will be keeping the name private) Takes 20 minutes to get us drinks but we get our appetizer before. Eventually she brings us our drinks and asks if we want side plates for our appetizer I said yes please she than passe/ goes to other tables around us atleast 3 times before coming back to us to ask how our appetizer is. I ignore the fact we don’t have plates and I say good she than proceeds to bring us plates as we are done our appetizer. Food comes out 25 minutes later at this point we’ve been here for 45 minutes we get started to eat she approaches ask us how our food is before we could even take a bite and said good. She walks away we eat and my sister food taste like chemicals I can’t even put it into words so we tell the waitress she then grabs a manager he comes around 10 minutes later and says what he can do we choose to get a different side instead of the broccoli which is what tasted bad and he agreed. I go to look on the kiosk to check the price and the server charged me for the wrong drink and even charged us for the new side. At this point i’m fed up we ask for boxes and our dessert another waitress brings us out dessert and as we wait for our box she comes THREE TIMES to check on us for our dessert each time we ask for a box and she continues to not bring one. She then says that we can pay on the kiosk and I tell her I wanna pay in cash she said let me go get you check I said okay. She takes 15 minutes to pick up my cash and when she comes back she tells me “ I don’t have .91¢ for your change is just the 12 okay (my change was supposed to be 12.91) I said no I would like my change she says I’ll give you $13 I said thank you she walks away and that was the end. This was truly my worst visit at applebees and not only did she take forever for my table but the tables around me even after it all died down (both tables near me were offered free dessert and talked to a manager just like us but we were offered NOTHING. I hope anyone visit will not be like this in severely disappointed. On top of that all kids were running around near tables and being loud not one time did a worker tell them to stop and just allowed them to keep interrupting...

It’s been numerous times now that I get ripped off when ordering Carside To Car. For starters, I was there to pickup two minutes before my pickup time so I was on time. I waited for almost 15 minutes for 2 appetizers and two orders of fries one (regular, one waffle fries). I immediately gave my son his regular fries for the ride home. They weren’t even warm but I didn’t say anything because he doesn’t eat it hot anyway and I could get home peacefully. We arrive at home to have to heat up ALL of the food. Mind you, I do not expect take out to be hot when I get home, but normally it’s slightly warm and no need to heat it up depending on what it is. The combo appetizer was Ice cold I tell you. Then I open the waffle fries. SIX FRIES AND A FEW CRUMBS!!!!! That’s what I paid for. Are you kidding me!!!!! Thank god both orders were for my one son who had already filled up on the cold regular fries on the way home and didn’t even want the waffle fries because had it been for my other son I would’ve had to go all the way back to this place to get more!!! Six fries!!!! No exaggeration. I was so mad that I had to take a picture. I have no reason to make this up. I didn’t call and complain, I didn’t ask for a refund. It was pointless. Of course there’s more……the nasty salsa for the quesadillas and the salsa for the chips with the spinach dip were squeezed in with the chips. Taking up space where more chips could’ve been. Why didn’t they just slide over the six fries and put all sauces in that container???!!!!! Do better Applebees!!!!!! Cause that’s pure laziness. All of it. Thank goodness for the two alcoholic beverages I ordered cause they were delicious. Hats off to the bartender, whoever that was, cause I will totally order those again. As for the rest of it……no more takeout from there for me. Which sucks cause I have a handicapped child and going OUT to eat isn’t always easy. Don’t get me wrong, I like their food but if you aren’t dining in where they have to be face to face with you then they could care less what you receive. And I tipped good for that girl to walk my stuff five feet cold and missing...

The manager Alisha is an absolute disgrace to the profession. We took my son to this location after his moving on ceremony for school. Applebees is his favorite place so we go often. When we arrived there was no wait for a party under 4 people but we were a party of 5. 4 adults 1 child. I told the hostess that we didn't mind squeezing into a smaller booth but she said we could not and seemed very annoyed that I even suggested that we could. I thought maybe there was a rule against it, maybe a fire code or something so I sat down and waited. She did tell me that there was only one party ahead of me and it would only be around a 20 min wait for a large booth. About 15 min later a party of 2 adults and 5 children signed in. The children in the 7-10 age range. For the next 20 min the children jumped around the hostess station put there hands in the hostess face stood right in front of the podium blocking people from signing in. They actually text you when you table is ready so you don't need to be in the building or near by to be called when ready. Of course when the next large booth was ready they sat the party that had children jumping around to get them out of the way. When I confronted the manager about the fact that I was there first she said "I made a judgement call since they have children and if I didn't like it then I could leave."

My 1 child and my 7 month pregnant daughter had been waiting 30 mins already but that didn't matter. When she offered me a smaller booth to squeeze in that I had already asked for 30 mins ago my blood boiled. I didn't raise my voice or say anything disrespectful but I did let her know what she did was completely unacceptable and then we left. The lesson here is if you want a table quicker just be really annoying and tell your kids to be really annoying to the hostess and the manager Alisha will skip you to the front...
