Jimmy's Egg — Restaurant in Derby

We have eaten at Jimmy's Eggs in Oklahoma, Wichita, and this location. Have always enjoyed the service and food. Recently ate at this location again. Ordered Eggs Benedict and was told it was too close to closing to poach eggs, and could I pick something else. Too close to closing at 12:40 p.m. when closing is 2 p.m.? I could almost understand if it was closer to 2 p.m. and they were busy. There were only 3 other tables that were occupied at the time. When food came, hash browns were cold, and other items were luke warm and missing an ingredient. Didn't complain because I figured it was "too close to closing" to be fixed, and we had somewhere to be. Having worked in food service, I would have never told a customer that it was too close to closing for them to order, whether it was 10 minutes till or over an hour till,...

We went on a Friday at 9am hoping to be on the tail end of any major breakfast rush. We had an hour to eat before a doctor's appointment and thought that would be enough time. The staff was so kind that, at first, we were happy to overlook their inefficiency. It took several tries just to get our drinks. We finally got to the point where we couldn't wait anymore for the food we had ordered and asked to get it to go. It wasn't until we got home that we saw that a whole person's meal was missing and several parts of another meal. Basically they had wrapped up whatever they had finished cooking and still charged us for everything we had ordered. About $40 for 3 people and only 1.75 of us got to eat. We will not...

I've never received good service any time I've gone in. The food is good, but not worth the apathetic attitude from their servers. Today when we went in, we waited for twenty minutes before we were even acknowledged. One employee walked by us four times, saw us, and never said a word. Another couple came in and they came up and acknowledged them first and that couple had to tell them we were first. I told her we have waited too long and she thanked us for coming in. You can't acknowledge us or get us seated timely, but you thank us for coming in when I tell you we've waited too long??!
