First, I recognize that fast food in general is not amazing. I don't have high expectations. I do however expect my order to be done quickly and correctly. This McDonald's failed on both counts. Our order was messed up and it took longer than it should have to get it fixed. I recognize that the lunch hour is busy, however when a mistake is made, correcting it ought to be priority. While it was a nice touch for the manager to bring our food to us in the beginning, that quickly soured. He told me that they were defrosting the blue raspberry Fanta frozen drink. He said we could wait around 5 minutes, or change flavors. My two who wanted blue raspberry said they would wait. I was told he would let them team know and get those to us as quickly as possible. Well, he never told anyone as he was too busy chumming it up with a couple of customers. While waiting for our messed up order, this man had the audacity to get after his team for lack of organization. Sir, you have ZERO room to complain about anyone's lack of organization since you couldn't be bothered to communicate a customer's need to your team. As has been noted in other reviews the ketchup was orange and bubbly as it does when it is going bad. The play place reeked and had obviously not been swept or cleaned in a while. Overall a horrible experience. We will not come back to this particular McDonald's in future. Bad management, bad service,...
Read moreI recently had a frustrating experience at a McDonald’s location that claims to be open 24 hours. I arrived around 3:00 am, only to find that the exterior lights and ordering screens were completely blacked out. There was no indication of whether they were closed or experiencing technical issues.
Unsure of what was happening, I drove up to the window where I finally saw an employee inside. What I heard next was shocking — it sounded like a group of employees playing and yelling back and forth, more like a playground than a workplace.
Eventually, one employee opened the window, but instead of offering assistance, they immediately yelled at me, saying the store was closed. When I questioned it — since it’s advertised as a 24-hour location — they rudely shouted again that it was closed until 4:30 am. I stayed for a moment, stunned, and continued to hear the chaotic sounds of employees acting like unsupervised children inside.
This experience was unprofessional, confusing, and disappointing. If the location is not operating 24 hours as advertised, clear signage or proper communication would be helpful. But beyond that, the behavior of the employees was completely unacceptable. I hope management addresses these issues to ensure future customers are treated with respect and that operational hours are...
Read moreThis McDonald's never fails to disappoint. Every trip is a gamble, will the order be correct, will the food be warm, will the staff be professional? Ha! Today I went through the drive thru. The card reader at the first window wasn't working so she asked me to pay at the next window, actually taking the time to ask me not to "get free food" because multiple customers already had and she was worried about getting fired. I pulled to the next window, paid, and was quickly asked to pull into a parking spot to wait for my food. I did not receive a receipt and the person that delivered my food rushed away before I could check my order. Of course, it was incomplete! Why go through the drive thru if I have to unbuckle my 3 year old to go into the store anyway? You guessed it, somehow this is my fault for giving McDonald's on rock road in Derby another chance. When I went inside I asked for the owners information. The manager did not know it, and frankly, I was tired of the whole ordeal and just left. By the time I arrived home everything was cold, except the meal that they forgot to give me. Why oh why do we spend our hard earned money on frustration and junk? It is only convenient in theory but...
