Wendy's — Restaurant in Derby

I ate at Derby’s Wendy’s Today. Sadly I rate this experience a one star only because you can’t give them a zero star. First, I ordered a small chili, a crispy chicken sandwich and a small drink and asked for a senior discount.

I was told they didn’t offer a discount anymore. I paid for my meal and got more in change than I expected. They gave a cup so I went to get my drink.

The people I went received their meals. I waited a little while and went to the counter to get my meal.

I looked at the receipt which was incorrect. I told the lady I ordered a small chili and asked her how much I owed her. I was told since she rang it up wrong I didn’t owe anything. Good for me right.

Well about five minutes went buy and they still hadn’t made my sandwich. The nice lady asked when it would be ready! She was told point blank “that it would be ready when they got around to making it!” Nice customer service there. I waited several minutes and said they could deliver it to me. I ate my free chili, lucky me right. Finished and still no sandwich. Finally, the sandwich was delivered.

If the store was busy I might be convinced to understand the poor service. It wasn’t that busy and I can see why.

The place was not clean too.

Overall my experience was terrible. Most likely my last trip to Wendy’s.

Slightly disappointed, it took forever and there was only one customer inside but they had us pull over and we had to wait almost 10 minutes. I pulled out and realized there were no tortillas for the taco salad so then I had to fight the traffic to go back around and get the chips. As I was leaving again I tried a fry and it was Soooo Salty and luke warm but I needed to get home. When I got home I was in for more disappointment with the chili. My daughter got the taco salad but didn't want the chili so since I wasn't eating the limp cold fries I tried the chili. I realized right away they had cooked a burger and chopped it up in huge chunks and just dumped it in. I called the store and spoke to Thomas and he took my name so I can stop back in at my convenience to get fresh fries and a taco salad. He was kind, courteous, and apologetic so that's why I gave them 3 stars. I hope they find respect in themselves and realize how lucky they are for having a job that pays 10$+ a hour for very little effort. I used to work for $3.35 an hour and had to do back breaking work making homemade onion rings from scratch, grilling the food, cooking in the fryer, and running both registers at the same time compared to just standing there having the food handed to you so you can hand it to...

Ordered through the drive thru at about 1030 pm tonight. I ordered a number 1, double, no cheese, ketchup only. Service was quick, but I checked the burger before I left. Cheese. American Cheese is disgusting and only good for gluing burgers together. I gave it bace and told them the issue. Got what I thought was a fresh burger with ketchup only, my mistake was to not check until I got home. When I checked at home I found that the "cook", using the term lightly, had removed the cheese from the original burger, leaving lots of melted cheese residue on the burger and then absolutely slathered it with ketchup, I assume to hide the face that there was still cheese residue on it. Ketchup was running out all sides of the burger. This is absolutely the improper way to fix a customer's order and make it right. I will most likely not visit this location again, especially at the time I did. Whoever "fixed" my order needs some training on how to do things correctly.
