Mattress Firm Derby — Hotel in Gypsum Township

This was originally a 5 star rating.The original mattress we wanted was apparently being discontinuing, but Laura gave us a discount on the mattress we ended up picking because of that, which was nice. We scheduled our delivery date a month out so that we could get the mattress and the base at the same time. Well, I got an automated call from the delivery company stating my delivery was coming 2 weeks before we intended. We were thrilled until the mattress arrived and the base didn't; the base was still going to be delivered in 2 weeks. This of course defeated the goal we were aiming for, so now our brand new expensive mattress is on the floor. I called Mattress Firm to ask them what happened and they claimed they're computer software didn't notify them our delivery was incomplete- they stated it typically does. I understand this issue was likely out of their control, but it was disappointing when we were assured everything would be delivered together multiple times, and then that not be the case. I was making phones calls to different mattress stores in Wichita, KS to find my elderly father a new bed. When I called Mattress Firm in Derby and talked with James, I knew I had called the best place. He was caring and answered all my questions assuring me my father would be taken care of. After a "re-con mission" and talking to Tyrone (James was off that day), Tyrone showed me several options and made a couple of suggestions. The following day I took my 94 year old father to select the mattress he wanted. The store was busy so I wrote my phone number and name on a piece of paper and asked him to call as I needed to take my father home. He did call me that day and I let him know we would be there in the morning to do the purchase thus letting my father time to think. Upon arrival this morning James was there and Tyrone was at another store. We treated respectfully, professionally and caring. We will recommend Mattress Firm and these two employees to anyone we know looking for a new bed. Thank you...

Due to life circumstances this is the 3rd mattress I've bought at the mattress firm in derby (the prior two mattresses are still amazing fyi), not 100 % but I think Luke sold them all to me. I'm told i can be "difficult" at times by my child. Luke was amazing, listen to all yaking and demands and yadda yadda, he was always professional, got me what i wanted at the price range i requested, didn't take my "frustrated at life circumstances" tone personal nor did he try to get me to buy something i didn't want. Very professionally explained various facts about different styles, types but i did not feel he was trying to get me to buy anything i didn't want.
