Okay so let me start this off by saying I love Olive Garden I have for years. But last night was probably one of the worst experiences I have ever had at an Olive Garden. That place usually Prides their self on customer service will last night they had an epic failure.. When we got there the hosting stuff was very nice and kind then when we finally got to a table which took about 6 minutes not a big deal we waited for another 15 minutes before the hostess came back herself and asked if we would like beverages.. well of course we like beverages that's why we came here so we can have drinks and eat. It took another probably six to seven minutes to get our drinks.. And then we probably waited another 10 to 12 minutes on our waitress to even acknowledge us or even say hello or ask if we would like some salad or an appetizer or anything for that matter. She seemed very pissed off and like she hated her job she didn't seem like she wanted to be there she was not kind she was not pleasant.. We finally got our order in and my wife and I actually had ordered the shrimp and chicken carbonara to split because neither one of us will eat a full portion. I had asked the waitress to bring us an extra plate so we can portion it out ourselves. So then she brings us salad and breadsticks and we had also ordered alfredo sauce for the breadsticks. And I had portioned out everybody salad and as I was eating mine I noticed that there what is a really long blonde hair in my salad so I laid my Fork down and when the waitress came back which probably was another 10 more minutes I said to her ma'am my salad has a hair in it so she took my salad away. When the manager came over he noticed that I didn't have any salad at this point because they had taken mine because there was a hair in it and needless to say when the waitress finally did bring us more salad it was at the very bottom of the bowl she put hardly anything in it and then she didn't even bring me another plate to use so by this time I was already frustrated and I just wanted to go but my son went ahead and ate salad out of the bowl itself because they didn't bother to bring us any plates. And then our food came in two separate plates so I asked the waitress did you ring up two meals or did you ring up one and she had said that she rang up one but in the meantime of her saying that she was very rude and acted like I had no business asking her any questions about my food. And now she's standing there as I start to cut up my chicken I noticed that there is a very long dark either black or brown hair in my pasta and she had not even left the table yet so I was like are you serious with this and I push my food away by this time I am done I am not going to eat anything from this place again. Then the manager comes over again and actually has the nerve to accuse me of putting the hair in the food because I do have blonde and black hair and it is long and it was down but I did not have my actual meal for more than 30 seconds before I found that hair and the waitress had not left our table. I completely understand what it looks like but it was the total opposite and they treated us like we had done something wrong all they were willing to do was take off you know that meal at this point I told my son and my wife both we are not eating here and we are leaving we are not paying for any of this.. So needless to say I will never again give Olive Garden in Derby Kansas my business ever again. And it really didn't even have anything to do with the hair because stuff like that happens it had to do with how we were treated with what had happened. I am now and I always will be upset...
Read moreI will not be returning to this location. We were seated quickly, server took our drink orders and they were brought out in a timely fashion. Then it went downhill. She came to take our food order as soon as we sat down, we told her we hadn’t had a chance to check the menu. She asked again when she brought our waters, and I hadn’t yet decided but we ordered an appetizer. I had to take my toddler to the restroom and as soon as we sat back down she asked again. I couldn’t decide between two dishes, so she asked if there were two I was deciding between. I informed her that my usually (mushroom ravioli) had been pretty dry the last couple times I ordered it, and she told me she would bring me extra sauce on the side. The entire time she seemed irritated to be even talking to us. A while later she brought salad and bread, but no silverware. We finally flagged her down for silverware and she grabbed it and put it on the table, and again seemed like we inconveniencing her and she was irritated we asked for silverware. We had only taken a couple bites and our food was out. It took so long to get salad and silverware we didn’t even get a chance to eat it before our food came out. The food was okay, but my extra sauce didn’t come. At this point we had asked for more bread and she brought us out 3 burnt bread sticks and was still acting rude, short, and like she couldn’t believe we even asked. I wasn’t going to ask for my sauce, I probably wouldn’t have gotten it until after I was done and it wasn’t worth her attitude further ruining my evening. We ate the middle of the burnt breadsticks, because most of it was hard from being burnt. We asked for more (because we couldn’t hardly eat any of the 3 burnt ones she brought) so she brought us out 2 more that were so over salted I had to wipe it off (I don’t mind mine salted more than normal, but the first bite made my tongue hurt). The entire time we were there she made us feel like she was mad she had to wait our table, and the kitchen was sending out under-dressed salad, overcooked and over salted bread, and overly wet ravioli that left pools of water on my plate. I don’t normally leave bad reviews, I’ve been a server, I’ve worked in the food industry, and it is sometimes hard to stay positive when your slammed. She wasn’t even trying. The kitchen was probably swamped, but I would’ve rather waited for good food than getting a couple of burnt breadsticks and pools of water...
Read moreProbably one of our worst experiences, even understanding that it's one of their busiest nights. We called ahead 50 minutes before arriving, so we would be seated quickly so our son could get on the road for a 2 hour drive. We were celebrating his 21st birthday. On the phone, we were told it would be barely any wait upon arrival. When we arrived, we were told that we would now have a 25-30 minute wait. This I thought was an excessive wait for arriving 5 minutes before our set time. We were told there was nothing they could do, that other call aheads that arrived before us. It was a 25 minute wait, then we were seated. It took at least 5-10 minutes before we met our server and he took our drink order, then another 5-10 minutes before we got our drinks. By the time he got back, we were more than ready to order and he offered to give us more time. Given our extensive wait, we quickly ordered. The salad was pretty subpar for their salad. The lettuce was starting to wilt, and the onion and carrots were almost nonexistent. Every chicken and gnocci soup my husband received had no gnocci, so he had to request some. Then, we waited for our food. For a really long time... but that was to be expected on a busy night. Overall, everything else was good except the broccoli I added to my shrimp scampi. It was so undercooked it was almost raw. I really wish they had cooked it in mix like they do the tomatoes and asparagus, because it was cooked more like an afterthought just thrown on top at the end. For the $108 we spent for 5 people, I was pretty disappointed as this was probably the worst experience we've ever had here. But I guess if this is the worst they can do, they're...
