I ordered the pick 3 for $9.89 and chose salad (which was mainly the yellow middle part of the lettuce) and half a sandwich, and a slice of pie. Anywhere else you would get a hardy half a sandwich, but not here. This sandwich was a small... really small, piece of white bread with one piece of ham, a small slice of processed "Swiss" cheese, a thin sliced tomato and a round bulky piece of lettuce (once again, from the center of the iceberg lettuce. It was so scrawny I laughed when she brought it as did everyone else at our table.... but didn't want to make a fuss (guess I should have) . Everyone can have an off day, but this was the norm the last few times we'd been there so we decided to pay the bill and just not return... yes, we tipped our waitress generously, it wasn't her fault. I had my husband pay using my card and told him to make sure they took off the pies because it was Wednesday and my pie was included in my meal. He told her..... she didn't. So I went for a refund. The manager began telling me about how they could refund but it won't show up in my account for 5 days or more and so she was going to give me $10 in gift cards instead. That's when I said I didn't really want them because we wouldn't be back. I was trying to be kind and not make a fuss....I ended up leaving in tears with $10 in gift cards to a place in not returning to and basically double...
Read moreTook my daughter out to eat, had my 11 week old puppy with me when we walked in staff greeted us and I told them 3 so they set us in a booth. The staff got us something to drink then they took our order. While we were waiting for out food to be ready to eat, a female manager walked up to our table and said we have a service dog rules that I want to to read then turned and walked away. Then here come our food. I then set the puppy beside me in the booth and ate my food, the puppy laid down while we ate. When we were all done we went to check out, while my husband was paying for the food, I approached the female that brought me the rules for service dogs and informed her he was 11 weeks old there for I couldn't put him on the floor due to he was to a young puppy and wasn't potty trained. I told her that she should have told us prior to us ordering food and the food came right after she presented the rules for service animals. I was from Newton Kansas and my vet was in Haysville Kansas there for I couldn't take him home first. He didn't bark or anything he just sit on my chest looking around. My husband was thinking about buying a pie even tho they were quite pricy. Because of her nasty attitude towards a 11 month old puppy that wasn't on the table or disturbing anyone he didn't. This issue also cost the...
Read moreThere are several excellent waiters and waitresses. Others, not so much. One of which should not be working on Wed. (free pie day with purchase.) The male manager is great. The female one is not so nice. Again I think older people are irritating to these people. We attend every Wed. afternoon. From 4 - 9 of us. One waitress is always short and rude with us. Constantly huffing, grimacing and short with us. I tip well everywhere I go. This waitress gets the minimum from me only recently due to her never changing attitude when we are there. When I mentioned to the female manager that this waitress does not like us, she made excuses that the waitress was covering a large area. This manager placed us there with knowledge that it was to be 8-9 people.!? Majority of us are polite and friendly. One goes here a lot other than Wed. and she knows the people . But yesterday our waiter had left for the day, we tipped him early. This lady asked for her pie , to the female manager, . This manager said "I'm busy seating people , ask your waiter. " The waiter then came out and took care of her. We were surprised he was still there. If it is short handedness that creates this atmosphere, it is not the customers fault. We can find another place to...
