Mini... The Dough-Nut — Restaurant in Des Moines

The donuts are great however the customer service can be iffy. My first time visiting the store I talked with one of the owners about hiring them for my wedding he was a man a few words but the donuts were great so I ended up hiring them. We paid for 150 guests to have unlimited donuts. We also paid for two types of upgraded donuts. The donut truck arrived LATE to my wedding. My coordinator had been trying to reach them for almost an hour and they weren’t answering or returning calls. We had to hold the ceremony from starting on time because they finally arrived. During my family photos and cocktail hour I sent my brother to get my some of the donuts because I was starving and obviously couldn’t get in-line myself. They refused to give him two orders of donuts. So he had to go back and get back in line. Normally I would understand this however we ended up having 80 guests and my brother said he was getting some for the bride. I was overall disappointed with this entire interaction. It wasn’t cheap to hire the donut truck and they weren’t on time, weren’t responsive and weren’t very flexible to the guests wanting to try both the special donuts I had advertised as the “signature donuts”.

Edit: they state in their response they didn’t get our messages and we wanted them to arrive “early” however my coordinator had emailed them a month in advance with a time they should be at the venue. They did not show up on time. They arrived at 3:20pm when the ceremony was supposed to begin. We asked them to arrive at 2:30pm per the emails we sent a month before the wedding. If they were unable to arrive at 2:30pm they should have let us know so we could have moved OUR timeline...

I was so hyped about going to this place once I seen it opened I was so happy to take my kids here so finally I did I was so disappointed the black man or owner that works here was so rude an mean the doughnuts were stale an he was just so unfriendly kept his glasses on the whole time. I will discourage people from going here any time I get I will not return if he wants business he must know how to treat people an to keep fresh doougnuts an not try to give people doughnuts from early morning or last night's bash!Santa Garcia?

Aren't you the same Santa Garcia that gave us a 1 star review on Google the same day within minutes of each other as Ninfa Moreno? You say the guy was rude but you are never specific. You say you won't go back on Google reviews but You won't say why but now your liking, watching and trolling on our page. Sounds to me that your the one who's being rude.

I'll tell you what, why don't you come in with Ninfa, and we'll make you a free dozen with some...

Hello, I am here on the review side of google to share with you my experience at this cute yummy establishment! My family and I were on our way down to federal way. Taking a different route through Des Moines during rush hour(s), we saw this adorable mini donut shop. We have 4 girls.... I ran inside and was taken back by all the options presented to me! I had to take a moment to appreciate all the different flavors. The combinations and names for them were so fun! The maple sounded delicious. I thought that one was it, but then I saw the strawberry shortcake and was sold. I took them back to the van where they were devoured instantly. They were very tasty! So I went and got another order of them! I could tell the owner really enjoyed his craft. They were fresh. Like From batter to the oil, the whole process, you get that experience. You won't regret stopping by into this mini shop. It's going to be a special memory in our hearts as a family and a destination to look forward to on days where we need a fun thing to do. Looking forward to trying more flavor...
