Koibito Poke - Des Peres — Restaurant in Des Peres

This place has yet to get my order right. I ask for cauliflower rice and I get white rice with just an “oh, you asked for cauliflower? Do you want me to remake it?” No, because not only can they not get the order correct but it takes them forever to make it. A bowl that can be made in less than 5 minutes everywhere else takes over 20 here, and that’s just if no one else is in the restaurant. At this point it’s actually quicker for me to drive further to PokeDoke in Kirkwood than it is to go here. And at least my order is correct there.

ETA: If you have not seen your staff take 20minues or more to make a bowl, you need to visit your restaurant. I was there to get a to go order for 27 minutes last Thursday and no other customers were in the store. Every single piece of fish was weighed and little pieces were added in and out over and over again to get the correct weight. The sauce was added, and then the next type of fish was weighed again. Then the items for the rest of the bowl were added and the bowl was dropped, so the process started all over. This is not "fast" casual. This has happened multiple times. Another time, the whole bowl was made (again, took longer than it needed to) and when I looked at it at the end it was white rice instead of cauliflower rice. I just took the bowl at that point because I had to get back to work and couldn't wait the excruciatingly long time to precisely weigh out...

I’ve ordered off of Uber eats from here many times and each time when I order my sauces on the side, it BARELY covers the bottom. Tonight was probably the third or fourth time it’s happened. I called in just a few minutes ago to ask if they were low on sauces or something and he said “no”. So what’s the deal? The amount of sauce given is not even enough to add a significant amount of flavor to the bowl. Am I going to have to pay even more for extra just to get what I should’ve gotten the first time? I even asked on my order to actually fill up the sauce cups. Cmon guys. These are 2 oz sauce cups that you aren’t even filling up halfway. I just want what I paid for. For almost 30$ with delivery fees this is ridiculous.

This is in reply to the owners note. If your staff had made sure they filled up the sauces, they’d would’ve come filled up. I wouldn’t have made this review if this didn’t happen time and time again. As for me “abruptly” getting off the phone. Your manager said “sorry that happened. We will do better” and stopped talking. So I had nothing to say and he offered no way to make this experience better, so I said “ok” and hung up. Thank you for trying to make this...

I love their bogo deal on Uber eats but they can’t ever seem to get an order completely correct. Hey Koibito, when someone orders a buy one get one free poke bowl, they are supposed to get one set of the sauces (up to 3 each) for EACH BOWL. so that’s 6 of the small sauce containers as PART OF THE ORDER. And THEN if a person orders EXTRA sauce, and PAYS EXTRA for the EXTRA sauces, then you should provide them that means 3 MORE sauces on TOP of the 6 that come with the orders. I’ve ordered from here asking for extra sauce 3 times and not ONCE have you provided the extra sauce. And you’ve ALSO missed part of the order when I’ve ordered other stuff with the bowls. I didn’t rate atmosphere because I haven’t actually been there, I’ve only ordered via Uber eats so I’m betting the service is good on site. I have service a 3 instead of a 1 with that assumption. Teach your to go orders person how to prep PER THE ORDER. yeah I always get utensils even though I NEVER check the utensils box. I wish I could get my extra sauce instead unwanted...
