A Most Delightful Repast at Kar’is Surf & Sirloin On the eve of our visit to Kar’is Surf & Sirloin, we found ourselves enveloped in an ambiance of unparalleled grace, where the very essence of refined dining is celebrated. Our evening commenced with the warmest of welcomes from the esteemed manager, Huy, whose hospitality was both exemplary and gracious, a true testament to the noble art of service. As to the fare, we were most fortunate to partake in a feast that was as pleasing to the palate as it was to the eye. The Filet, tender and sumptuous, was paired most exquisitely with lobster of the finest calibre, each morsel a symphony of delicate flavors. The Greek potatoes, prepared with a precision that bordered on the divine, served as a worthy companion to this regal dish. Likewise, the rack of lamb, seasoned to perfection, was a veritable triumph. Its succulence was matched only by the accompanying Greek potatoes, which, in their golden splendor, provided a textural contrast that was nothing short of sublime. One must not overlook the Greek salad, whose freshness was accentuated by a dressing of such homemade brilliance that it could only have been crafted by hands most skilled in the culinary arts. In sum, our evening at Kar’is Surf & Sirloin was a resplendent affair, elevated by both the impeccable cuisine and the unparalleled attentiveness of Manager Huy. It is with great pleasure that we extend our highest commendation to this establishment, and we eagerly anticipate our return to once again indulge in its culinary treasures.

First time trying this place and was surprised to see the parking lot so empty on Father's Day. Upon entering the restaurant, even more surprised to see so many empty tables. We had reservations and most places either required reservations or had very long waits so we decided to take our chances. That turned out to be a huge mistake. The prices were extremely high and they automatically added 20% gratuity no matter how many people were in your party. There were only the two of us and our bill for two meals, one appetizer, one beer, and one Margarita was just over $221. Wouldn't have minded paying that if the quality and taste of the food would have been up to par. We were both sprinkling salt and pepper on our steaks because they were cooked with no flavor at all. It tasted as though the steaks went from the package to the pan. The twice baked potatoes were about as dry as a desert. Will not be returning to this place and definitely would not recommend it.

Love this place. From the wait staff to the food. There is a lot to like about Surf & Sirloin. My wife and I have been here several times in the past few months and have been very happy. Hidden in plain sight on Manchester Rd is this lovely restaurant. Old school professional wait staff knows thier stuff. Very attentive but not too much. While their assistants keeps the water full the table clean. The atmosphere is cozy quite and comfortable. White linen table cloths all tables no booths. The house salad and dressing is a must. Fresh French bread is nice. My steak was prepared correctly and with great flavor. My wife's scallops were outstanding and definitely get the twice baked potato and bread pudding for dessert. We'll be back.

We've passed this place several times and for my birthday, I figured we'd give it a try.

The place is exactly the aesthetic I was hoping for, a lodge/inn look, with great lighting and simple decor. It's not something others may care about, but for me, it sets a great mood. And this place delivers on that for me.

I was told they had a tomahawk ribeye steak on special, and I couldn't resist ordering it (admittedly, without asking the price), my wife ordered the filet.

I don't want to complain too much, especially since we didn't bring it up to our server, but we both ordered the steaks medium-rare, and what we both received was medium to medium-well... a significant temperature difference. Especially for those cuts. That was disappointing, but we stopped 'complaining' about overcooked steaks a long time ago; too many horror stories.

But, the flavor was outstanding, seasoned flawlessly, my only nitpick on the tomahawk (besides being overcooked) was the rosemary garnish, it should have been left off the dish unless you love to eat those needles. That is pretty much culinary school 101, don't plate something that can't or shouldn't be eaten.

The staff was great with everything else, including bringing me a cupcake with a candle on it and wishing me a 'Happy Birthday'.

For the price, I expected much better preparation of the steaks, but the place itself, the service/staff, and the overall flavor of everything were very very good.

It's a birthday dinner I'll not forget (in...

We have a 3-month-old at home, which makes dining out quite challenging. However, after my 3-year-old son's gymnastics class on Tuesdays, we often treat ourselves to a meal out. On 2/21, we visited this restaurant, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish.

The hostess, noticing it was just my son and me, thoughtfully seated us at a 6-top table near the fish tank, which my son adored. This small act of kindness truly set the tone for our evening. I ordered the BBQ shrimp appetizer, the house salad, and a ribeye steak. Each dish was absolutely incredible. The server recommended the shrimp over the crab cake, and I couldn't have been happier with the choice – the shrimp was out of this world.

While I don't recall the server's name, I remember there were only two servers working that night, and the other was a gentleman. Their service was impeccable, contributing significantly to our wonderful dining experience.Over the past year, I’ve frequented many high-end steak restaurants.

While I’ve had technically superior steaks, comparing a 9.6/10 steak to a 9.7/10 steak is almost negligible. What sets this ribeye apart is its unbeatable value. It was by far the best ribeye I've had for the price, surpassing options that cost double what I paid here.

In fact, I was so impressed that I discussed with my dad about returning here for Father's Day. This restaurant offers an outstanding dining experience, combining excellent food, thoughtful service, and...
