Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews — Restaurant in Des Peres

Came in around yesterday around 4pm on a Saturday. Party of 4 with only a 15 minute way to be seated which was not bad. Was seated and our waitress never introduced herself. Just asked what we wanted to drink. We knew what we wanted to eat as we had been here many times before.

Two people wanted to split a dish and I got the $10 meal deal they were offering at the time. Waited about 15 minutes for the food and I had finished my drink and watch her pass our table multiple times without checking on us but checking on the other tables in her section. Has to ask the person who brought out food out from the kitchen for a refill on my drink as i could not get our servers attention.

Burgers and chicken sandwiches were cooked perfect but the fries and cheese and bacon dip were warm at best and even the refill on fries we received was just warm. When looking at the check the waitress did not ring the bill up properly as I did not get the $10 meal deal even upon asking for it twice when ordering at the beginning. When confronting the waitress about this, she claimed she needed to ring it up that was and grabbed 2 empty cups with one hand and flung it up within inches of one of the kids faces at the table while walking away.

One of the worst experiences with a waitress I have had ever while dinning inside a restaurant. Talked with the manager who apologized with the experience and offered a coupon for a free appetizer for the trouble.

Been here multiple times before with this being the only bad experience I have had but left a very sour taste...

I gave this restaurant an average rating ONLY because I really don't like leaving negative reviews unless it is completely warranted. The food was average at best. I really think I could have gone to a fast food chain and got a burger that was just as good. It didn't have any redeeming qualities that would have made it stand out. Burgers at home are much better, although I didn't have to do any dishes to get this one. Although it was a lot of food, the value of taste in comparison to cost wasn't worth it because I don't eat big portions and threw most of my food away. My biggest complaint with the venue was the wait time and service. There were obviously not enough servers working to handle the customers. There were empty tables, yet we were told there was a 30 minute wait. I don't care to wait for great food, but for average food, I think next time I will go elsewhere. Once seated we were still asked to wait another 20 minutes before anyone took our order. After our order was taken, it was another 20 minutes or so before the food arrived. The place didn't look overcrowded, so I'm not sure if it was just short staffed or if something else was going on. 1 of my fav places to visit for a good burger, they usually always deliver in quality & taste, but unfortunately this visit I was a lil' disappointed. I ordered a Whiskey River Haystack Double w/ Fries. I received a burger that barely looked like 2 burgers & there were no Onion Straws on it anywhere which was very disappointing, because to me that is 1 of the things that makes this burger. They also gave us numerous packets of French Fry Seasoning that had already been opened & used!!. Now, with the virus going on & supposedly following strict CDC mandated guidelines, this should've never happened!!. The employees are always courteous & service quick, but someone really missed the mark with the service that I received this visit. It won't make me stop visiting & ordering from Red Robin, but I might be changing locations. Hopefully all of them do not have this quality of service! Their Fried Zucchini is some of the best tasting I have had anywhere!! The breading is excellent, very light, crispy, & flavorful. My only complaint is that there needs to be more Zucchini. The Zucchini to breading ratio is very disproportionate, way more batter than actual Zucchini & ur paying $7+.
