Had a terrible experience here last Saturday. I usually cook at home but wanted to take a day off and enjoy a breakfast out with my family. We wasted an hr of our time bc the waitress who was cool at first- just couldn’t coordinate and get our orders right. It wasn’t hard; I wanted a farmer’s omelette..without the ham; clearly I love hash browns. My spouse got something he didn’t order at all. The silver dollar pancakes I ordered with pecans I can’t believe they’re charging $3 for this. Well when they come out there’s whole pieces of pecans, not even toasted- with this yellow stuff that I thought was cheese but apparently they call it butter. When the omelettes were sent back we watched everyone around us eat as we waited for idk how long, until it was ridiculous. We went to the car while my husband paid for the pancakes. Why the waitress, have the nerve to tell my husband ” you gotta wait “ Wait with 2 kids and 2 hungry adults for y’all screw up? We did wait! And y’all dropped the ball- can’t communicate I see. Never ever will this be an option. P.S why is it an up charge for rye bread especially when the waitress doesn’t know the differences? Very “classy “
*Response to owner: since you want to respond in the way of negating what I said. I’m not being extra- I’m being honest. Your waitress with 0 complaints of 5 years and cooks simply dropped the ball. I would not have even left this review if she wouldn’t have told my husband we needed to wait- we were/are very patient. Still no apology I see. But I don’t want one that’s okay. Also, we were not around for your psa to leave if we didn’t have any time to wait. We had already been there for an hour, before we decided waiting for a remake may end badly. It was quicker to go back home and eat. If cooks are your concern there’s always indeed or other social media posts that you can curate instead of trying to defend an honest review. It is not my responsibility to staff your establishment- as a patron I chose your business to dine at on this day- that is how I...
Read moreI visited Noni's on Friday, August 2, 2024. I was hesitant to order as I entered the establishment because the foyer/entry was not very clean. As I approached the counter, I noticed there was bulletproof glass, and the person taking my order, a black woman, was simultaneously yelling at a coworker. These were warning signs for me. Nonetheless, I ordered the six-piece chicken tender meal with mashed potatoes, coleslaw, and coconut cake, which cost $17 and some change. I was visiting family from out of town, who happen to live within walking distance of Noni's. Unfortunately, the chicken tenders were overcooked and hard, and it seemed like the cooking oil hadn't been changed in weeks. Additionally, the mashed potatoes were extremely salty and stiff, making them inedible. The chicken gravy was served on the side.During my first call to Noni's, the employee hung up and mentioned another name for the restaurant when I didn't respond. When I called a second time, the phone rang for 3-4 minutes and the employee made a remark about people liking to hear them breathe, then hung up again. On my third call, an employee answered and I asked to speak to a manager. They said the manager, named Candy, wasn't in but would be there tomorrow at 10:00 am. I was surprised by the lack of professionalism. When I mentioned it to Candy, she suggested that I wouldn't receive a refund unless I brought the item in. However, when I arrived, Candy was already gone for the day. I explained the situation to another employee. She took the food, checked it, and then appeared to make a call. When she came back, she informed me that the business would not refund the money and asked me to leave. I am warning everyone, whether I know them or not, to steer clear of this establishment and to actively discourage such...
Read moreNoni’s HAD become the go to spot for me because I work in the area. After today, I will find another dining spot. It is not that I am so thin skinned, in today’s economy, service providers must “earn” my loyalty and patronage. Normally I carry out but today I chose to fine in. You seat yourself do I was promptly seated. The waitress took a moment to come to the table and the restaurant was only partially occupied. It took forever for her to retrieve our drinks and return to the table with them. We waited a moment to order and the food , a very simple order, fries and wings took row seemed like forever. After that, we did not hear from her again until she brought the check. Mind you, she refilled the drinks for a table right next to ours 3 times. Ok, so I asked for a refill of our drinks to go. Two of them, children’s drinks were already in styrofoam cups. She returned with a large styrofoam cup and stated she couldn’t refill the kids cups to go, because there was a limit. Because of the disappointed look on their faces, I reminded her that this would be the first refill. What upset me was that she wanted to argue with me. I politely said whatever lady. She wanted to keep it going so I obliged her and reminded her that in a service industry it behooves her to not argue with customers and just stop talking so much! She then attempted to embarrass me by yelling out in the dining room, y’all this lady mad cause I won’t give her lemonade to go. I was going to, but not now.” I responded with “I was going to tip you, but not now.” Before you go there, I do know , understand, and practice two wrongs don’t make a right. Then there are times you stand on principle. All that to say, I won’t...
