Wanted ro try this place for a while after seeing the beer tap system. First of all the pizza is delicious! The crust is perfect and the sauce has an amazing acidity to it that goes perfectly with the Wisconsin cheese. 🤌🏾 The beer tap system is fun. Its interesting to be able to sample so many different types of beer without feeling like you're over doing it. I tried small samples of several beers and then got more of the ones I liked most. Atmosphere is great too. Friendly staff. Nice environment with both indoor amd outdoor seating. There is an outdoor courtyard that is great for a nice Summer day. Overall I would say the pizza is great and fairly priced. The beer taps were fun and I like the concept, but they are kind of expensive. You may end up spending way more on the drinks than you do your food. Just be prepared. The atmosphere is great and the staff is friendly and helpful. They also have a small tap room in the back that I assume you may be able to rent out for private parties? So if you're in Midtown this place should definitely be on your list of places to visit.

Stopped here before a concert at Little Caesars Arena. Within about 4 blocks walking distance to the venue. Self serve taps, which are fun because you can control how much you drink. You are charged by the ounce, so you can have as little or as much as you'd like. The way it works is you get a wristband at the door by linking a credit card. You then touch the wristband to a beer tap in order to enable dispensing. You can grab a clean glass every time. They also have salads and pizza that you order with your mobile and you either are able to pick it up or they will bring it to you if not that busy. The roasted garlic pizza we had was AMAZING. The way you pay is via mobile with the card that you initially attached upon getting your wristband. A fun concept that enables you to easily control your stay. First come first served seating. Small lot free parking. Street is paid. There is a nearby lot you can buy into as well if there is in an event going on. Be aware during events, food may take upwards of 30-45 minutes, they can tell you an estimate at the door.

If you’re in downtown Detroit and even thinking about pizza, let me make this easy for you: Elephant & Co. is the move. Nestled right near all the big sports arenas, it’s the perfect pre-game, post-game, or honestly no-game-needed kind of spot. Let’s talk about the star of the show: that Detroit-style pizza. This isn’t your average deep dish—this is Motor City magic. The dough is a thing of beauty: crisp and crunchy on the bottom, but soft and airy inside—like a bread cloud with a little street cred. The cheese melts right to the edge for those caramelized corners you dream about, and that signature sauce? It’s bold, rich, and has just the right amount of kick. . Pair all that goodness with their self-pour tap wall featuring local brews and craft favorites? Let’s just say, you have the perfect night out. The vibe is casual, the location is prime, and the food is legit. Next time you’re catching a Tigers, Lions, Pistons, or Wings game, swing by Elephant & Co. for a slice and a sip. Trust me—your stomach will thank you louder than a Lions playoff crowd.

Updated Experience: Wow, what an incredible turnaround! I was hesitant to visit a second time, but this time, Matt and the entire team absolutely blew my socks off!

Despite the restaurant being packed with large parties and buzzing with overflow from the Brand New concert, the service was impeccable. The staff team was on top of their game, and Matt truly shined, ensuring everything ran smoothly.

And the food? Oh my goodness! We dove into the Margherita and Sexy Tractor pizzas, and they were beyond delicious. The French fries were also wonderfully crispy and seasoned.

Of course, the beers were fantastic too! My wife absolutely loved the Flip Flop Weather, and my Hazy Hatchet was perfectly refreshing.

Honestly, I didn't think I would enjoy it as much after my first visit, but I was so pleasantly surprised by how amazing everything was. Elephant and Co has truly won me over, and I would definitely come back again!

A huge thanks to Matt and the whole team for making this such a memorable and fantastic dining experience! You guys are amazing!

Prior Experience: Visited before the Jack White concert. Check-in for the self-serve wristbands was frustratingly slow, and only one of our two wristbands worked properly. We were cut off early with an 'out of money' error after maybe 1.5 beers each. Trying to check the balance online resulted in errors, and staff assured us the tab would close automatically based on the initial $10 hold. Three days later? A surprise $26 charge. We didn't try the food, but it looked good. Ultimately, the decent beer couldn't overcome the faulty system, slow service, and unexpected charges ($26 for ~3 beers). Particularly disappointing since I usually like Eastern Market Brewing Co. beers - the self-serve novelty just wasn't...

Service was not the best what so ever. Guy at the front greeting was great but the server and food runners we had ran into some issues. #1 my pizza came out and two of the 6 slices looked like it had come from another pizza. The 2 slices were not the same size, did not even fit in with the pizza after moving the slices around to understand it. The second pizza we got came out perfect which was a bit sketchy on why mine came out the way it did. The server claimed the '' chef'' had an issue when taking it out the oven but sworn it was from the same pizza (which everyone at the table knew it was not and you definitely could tell). #2 we ordered 4 ranches for the table (for just the pizza) and the server had forgot one of them and claimed the 4th one sitting on the table that we already ate from was the one we ordered. The 4th one was from our appetizer that we started with... which comes with ranch. She then checked the ticket and came back. #3 I overheard the server and chef talking out loud as i was walking to the bathroom claiming '' I wish everyone could be a chef and see what you have to go through'' which was completely unprofessional and was obviously a dig at me for trying to understand why my pizza came out not looking like a normal pizza. #4 we sat outside with 0 service after that, no one to check on us, clear the pizza plates, nothing at all. There's certain ways to deal with issues and obviously this place does not have the professionalism and problem solving skills. I am not the one to write a bad review but what a disappointment. Beer was great but I would not come back to this...

no flexibility with simple requests from menu. not real service. confusing set up. downright rude and insulting front desk host. they're trying to be hip and paperless, but it's cold, unfriendly and sterile. food is about as good as anywhere else. not worth the trouble!!

in reply to the comment about profanity - when i first came in he was testy and cold. when leaving, i stood waiting before the line that was at the door to come in. he didn't even acknowledge me to take the bill for the meal i had had. it really seems, ironically, that your staff does not want to bother with customers!! ridiculous!!!

And, i asked him to not call me "ma'am' as he was doing it again and again. many women do not like that reference and request that it not be used, as transgender people also request certain titles. he continued to, so i availed myself of my prerogative and replied with an appropriate response. be sure that others will here of this experience. and, most nice places around the city let you sample one or two of their brews. i wont be back to that location and i will suggest that others do not go either. thanks

also, if your staff expects to cope working in the city, they better toughen up. it's big, strong city.

and, when i worked in customer service, if i treated a customer as he did, i would have management discussing that poor quality of service with me. standards have really changed, or your customer service standards are really low, as they clearly were that day. All in all, it felt like I your staff really didn't want to deal with real...
