I recently had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast at Anthony’s Restaurant in Scranton, PA, and it was nothing short of delightful. As someone who often opts for vegetarian options, I was thrilled to see a vegetarian omelet on the menu. The omelet was perfectly cooked, bursting with fresh vegetables, and seasoned to perfection. Each bite was a flavorful experience that left me fully satisfied and eager for more.

Beyond the food, the ambiance at Anthony’s was incredibly inviting. This small, quaint restaurant is operated by a friendly family from New York City who sought a hometown experience for their young family in Scranton. They have successfully created a space that feels both intimate and welcoming, making everyone who walks through the door feel like part of the family.

Despite its cozy size, Anthony’s offers a satisfyingly big-city menu packed with options that cater to various tastes while still maintaining that warm, small-town charm. The staff, in particular, made the experience stand out—they truly felt like a warm hug, offering friendly and attentive service that made me feel right at home. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in good hands.

If you're looking for a breakfast spot and a meal that goes beyond the breakfast hour in Scranton, where both the food and the people will make your day, Anthony’s Restaurant is the...

Okay, if you're ever near Scranton, PA drop into Anthony's Restaurant in Dickson City. It has a 5 out of 5 rating on Google and definitely deserves it.

The service was absolutely amazing. One of our orders came with a salad but some he didn't want to have one of us watch the other eat, we got an additional salad. We were also told that we could order anything and add long as he had the ingredients, we could have it.

I had a NY style Chopped Cheese Wrap with caramelized onions and peppers. It was amazing and the side of fries were really well done, too!

My wife got the Orrechiette with sausage and broccoli and was really good. It also came with garlic knots that were freshly baked.

I wanted a bit more to drink and ordered a pineapple water. I didn't know how good freshly squeezed pineapple in water was going to be, but it was so refreshing it will be on all future orders.

We were totally stuffed and were getting ready to leave when an order of churros appeared!

An amazing meal and I wished we lived closer so we could go there all the...

This small hole in the wall diner is an absolute gem of a find! Service was outstanding and the food is better quality than most 4 & 5 star restaurants I’ve been to. My wife had the house salad and could not have raved more from the presentation of the vegetables being cut to perfect bite size pieces to having the ranch dressing mixed perfectly throughout the salad! She consumed the whole salad and had never quite had an experience like that at anywhere we have ever been. The Italian hoagie was so on point, the perfect amount of meat & cheese and a real hoagie bun. Totally legit sandwich along with amazing fries. Now to the real delight of the meal- garlic knots! The bread was done to perfection, with large garlic pieces in the garlic sauce. So delicious, especially paired with heated marinara sauce that rivaled any I had ever had before. Truly a great find…. Too bad we live 2700 miles from this place or would be here everyday. Oh and the best part of all is it is big portions and...

Wanted somewhere after visiting the Lackawanna Coal Mine for a quick lunch before continuing our journey up towards the Finger Lakes. Found this place thanks to the great Google reviews and was intrigued by a Cuban Sandwich! Easy to find and plenty of parking. As soon as you walk in you cannot help but smile; the vividly painted tables and chairs and the painting of alien abductions are just a couple of the highlights! I had a Cuban Panini (fusion cuisine at its finest) and hubby chose the Chicken Milanese panini. We had half of each, and both were served with chips (fries). They were both delicious: the Cuban one had pulled pork, ham, cheese, gherkins (pickles) and was really good, if a bit salty for my taste. The Chicken Milanese stole the show: the chicken was juicy inside with a crispy coating and it was served with cheese and pesto. A young lad was serving and taking orders and did a great job. Two paninis, 2 bottles of coke and tip came to c$50. Toilets for customer use only were spotless.
