So I pull into this Popeyes and I'm waiting for the car in front of me, which is ordering a $40 order. I figured maybe I'll go into the lobby and make better time since I'm only ordering, one single chicken breast. So I pull out a drive-thru and I drive up to one door and it has a note on the front, and I'm hoping it says... Use other door. So then I got to the other door and I noticed it had a note on it also, at that point I figured the dining room was closed even though it was before 9:00. So at this time I said well I guess I'll go to drive through again and to my dismay... The car that was there before was still there. So I waited approximately 7 or 8 minutes till they were finished with their order and I overheard the drive-thru worker Tell them their total was $46. So I pull up I asked him if the dining room was closed his response was yes. So I told him that all I wanted was one piece of chicken that is there anyway I don't have to wait for them to make a $46 order for one piece of chicken. His response was... Yeah I got you man... So I ordered one chicken breast. The total for one chicken breast was $3.17. I know I know $3.17 no big deal... But look at the picture are you serious. And the fact that it took me 15 minutes to get this little piece of chicken that was borderline cold was absolutely ridiculous. I just don't get it anymore I don't understand what is going on with society why customer service is just terrible anymore. All the employers want to cut corners wherever they can including labor so they can make all their millions of dollars. Why the customer suffers. $3.17 for a piece of chicken that doesn't even fill my hand. Terribly disappointed. Especially considering I once work for Popeyes when I was 17 years old and I am now 54. It is amazing and totally unbelievable how much customer service and quality of food have changed over the years. I was trained to value the customer more than anything. And that the customer was always right. No matter what. Even when they're wrong, we treated them like they were right. Those days are over I guess Popeye's has their millions of dollars now they don't need customers anymore that appreciate good quality...
Read moreWe ordered a 16pc meal and I never received a receipt. The only way I know what was charged to my card was a text alert that it was charged @ Popeye's in Dickson, TN.
Not only NO receipt, butwe only receive 6-drumsticks 5-wings 2 thighs & 3 breasts. The thighs & breasts were so greasy that 2 of the 3 of our guests ended up vomiting within 1hr of eating. I was the lucky one by vomiting up just the grease from my thigh. There was "no flavoring on the fresh-cooked chicken, None at all!" as stated by our guests. I was so utterly embarrassed!!!
Mashed potatoes & gravy was flavorful but being mixed together the last 3 making plates didn't get gravy so I ended up making a 1-cup packet of brown gravy mix to accommodate the ones who didn't get gravy with their potatoes. It would have been nice to have them in their own containers rather than mixed together.
Red beans and rice could've been cooked an additional 5-7min. I ended microwaving them for 6½minutes before the rice was soft enough to eat.
Biscuits (no matter where I purchase them from) harden quick, but these ones were so hard it was as if they had been sitting under the heat light for quite some time.
What's really sad is we had to wait approximately 15 min for them to "drop the chicken." If they knew we had already ordered & PAID for 4 peices of wings, drumsticks, thighs, & breasts, Why couldn't they get our order fresh & correct? However, they continued to fill orders that came through the drive-thru after us. At least no one pulled in to keep us company where the worker asked us to park.
This isn't the first screwed up order, but Unfortunately for my friends & family who love Popeye's chicken, this will be the last time that "I will order & pay for chicken" from Popeye's in Dickson, TN in quite some time.
🤔 Oh, by the way, between (2 couples & a single person) the 5 of us getting together weekly, and choosing this night as our "buy dinner out night" and I'm the one who 'always' chooses Popeye's food; $48 every 3 wks will be going some place else for the time being 😯 Sorry, but really...
Read more11/4/18 My Wife went through the drive-thru at 6 pm. Placed order and was told they do are completely out of white meat chicken. My wife was dumbfounded because she drove 35 minutes to get there. I called and spoke to Britany. I asked Britany how long it will take to cook some white meat chicken? She said she only has spicy white meat chicken. I explained that my wife was just in the drive thru and was told that you do not have any white meat chicken. Britany explained that they cook chicken every 30 minutes. I asked again how long. Then Britany explains that she does not have any breast because the truck comes in tomorrow. I then ask how long to cook the chicken? Then she says we found three breast. I asked how did she now find it? She said she found it in one of their chicken trays. I said that it does not sound very appealing; Finding chicken where there was just none, 30 seconds prior. I recorded the phone call. I wonder if that will make a good Youtube video?
Here is the kicker. I grew up less than a mile from the person who started Popeye's. I even went to school with his youngest Son. We know the brand well and have been customers for over 40 years. We know they can cook the chicken. I feel this is the worst customer service I ever received at Popeye's. And the drive back home, another 35 minutes, without the chicken. And to add insult to injury, it is our 23 year wedding anniversary. We have a sick child and he requested the chicken since we were unable to eat out.
Shame on these employees and branch of Popeye's. Just a giant let-down. The Britany referred to explained she is the Manager and her full name is Britany Brown.
UPDATE: Left feedback on the Popeye's corporate sight. The asinine rigamarole you have to perform, to leave feedback to improve the brand, is just another indication that they don't care about customers. Geez,...
