Annette's Cafe — Restaurant in Dillard

Really wasn't expecting much based on the appearance, but was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Sandwich bread tasted like it was homemade or from a local bakery and not store bought, fries were fresh and well seasoned. Everyone in our group enjoyed the food. Atmosphere will depend on how many of the "locals" are in and your own appearance. You are pretty deep in Trump country here so your experience may vary. Service was ok, the two staff weren't overly friendly and didn't really interact with customers unless they were locals.

Bathrooms left a little something to be desired, and weren't very clean, toilets about 15 years past replacement date, etc. but kind of expected for a place like this in the middle of nowhere. If you really need a clean restroom, go a mile or so down the road to the Exxon. Prices are reasonable for the food offered, but their ticket system is kind of weird and you have to tell them what you ordered again when you go to pay since they only use the order tickets for...

Beat local Restaurent that you can find in Dillard GA. I been passing by this restaurant for about 3 years on my way to smoky Mountians. I decided to stop and give a try.

1st Service: as soon as I enter I was greeted by employee got seated right away. My server was nice friendly. She gave me enough time to decided and didn’t rush me.

2nd Food: I ordered fried chicken breast with fried okra with truly home made coleslaw with coconut cake. Boy o boy it was delicious chicken was tender soft juicy flavorful, coleslaw blow my mind, it was salty with touch of sweet flavor never had such a delicious coleslaw before. Okra were fried to perfection.

Dessert as coconut cake was out of this world, so moist and flavorful really loved it. Make sure order larger portion.

3rd Price: Price of the food was totally reasonable. They prefer cash over CC but it’s totally fine they charge little extra for CC. Remember they are local business not chain restaurants. When food and service this good who...

Two things I will be dreaming about from Annette's:

Cheesy grits. Add salt & pepper, stir, eat, and then walk around with a smile on your face for the rest of the day. 😊 Taters! Real, cooked perfectly. So many places just don't get taters right but Annette's definitely does.

Everything else we tried was great, too. The locals eat here if that tells you anything. The two servers are friendly but down to business when they're busy. The lady in the kitchen is no nonsense...no delay allowed in picking up the food she puts in the window!
