The food was good but overall found the experience underwhelming considering the prices. I’m surprised no music was playing either, there should’ve been some soft jazz playing to improve the mood. There needs to be more options for the sides. Lots of plain, underwhelming sides. If the sides are plain the steaks should at least have some fresh sauces to accompany it. Like fresh chimichurri. They did give us the 5 condiments (Ketchup, bbq, puréed chimichurri, dijon mustard, and nata) they bring out with every meal; however, they need to elevate their game. The plastic squeeze bottles in combination with the $30-$40 steaks gives it such a low-end, casual feel. Simple changes can make a world of difference. Our waitress also needed to be more attentive. I was left thirsty for a good 10 minutes which didn’t allow me to enjoy my food thoroughly. Overall, I wasn’t disappointed with the experience, nevertheless I feel there is lots of room for improvement.
Some other things I wanted to mention: Instead of serving such plain condiments alongside the steak bring something more memorable and interesting. Instead of just ketchup and fries think about adding garlic aioli. Make fresh Argentinian Chimichurri. It pairs so well with steak and brightens up the flavors. Maybe a red wine reduction sauce too. In general, the food needed more life. Nothing was impressive culinary-wise and the ambiance was lacking. If you want customers to come back you have to add more to...
Read moreDecided to try out this place after seeing so many positive reviews. First of all we ordered the ribeye ceviche, disgusting! Smelled odd and I did not touch it. I then ordered the “chicharon arepitas” did not taste anything like chicharron… then I ordered the picanha, it was not bad however found it strange that my meat was not sliced but overall was not bad. My husbands entree on the other hand was the worst dish of them all… it’s called the B58 which seemed by the name was their signature sandwich, supposed to be a pulled pork with bbq, coleslaw and chipotle mayo…. Not sure if I can say that was actually pulled pork but it definitely tasted and looked like something from a can, my husband even joked and said it tasted like the Jack Daniel’s packaged meat from the supermarket. Overall I am extremely disappointed in the food, no other way of putting it but gross and not...
Read moreVisited this restaurant today for the first time ((Sunday 1pm). As soon as I pulled into the parking lot I was suspicious of what our experience was going to be like because we were the only ones there. The staff was friendly and took our order quickly. The place appeared to be clean, however as soon as we sat down and got our drinks we were attacked by flying insects wanting our drinks. There is a dirty canal behind the restaurant and doors that lead to an outside patio. From the looks of it bugs were coming from that dirty canal. I complained to the waitresses and they told me that they were having a problem with a patio door. When our food arrived the bug infestation got worse and made our experience simply terrible. The food was at best “ok” not great and pricey for the amount and quality. Much better choices available in this area, won’t...
