We came to dinner here expecting things to be very tasty & a very cute Italian ambiance. I was so excited for this restaurant !
We were greeted fast and got sat down quickly. The waiter gave us a menu and checked in with us. We were a party of 3 and we were catching up and talking and then 5 mins later the waiter came back and asked if we knew what we wanted.
First, he did not ask us if we had been there before or if he had any recommendations. I explained we needed more time as we got distracted and then he said okay take your time and kind of looked annoyed. Another 8 mins came by we ordered the Charcuterie board and it was so good. The fig jelly and the focaccia was really good.
Once again the waiter came to check on us for our order and we all agreed that everything felt so rushed. We ordered our food and things came out relatively quickly — it was very hard to understand the waiter as he spoke Spanish extremely fast.
In the time where we were getting our food. The restaurant was so hot. We were all sweating so bad —the combination of wine, hot food and no air was a terrible combination.
I got to wave down another waiter as i couldn’t find ours to tell him about the air & he says it was the lowest it could go. Horrible feeling to just sweat as you are eating.
i got the truffle pasta and i thought the waiter was confirming my order he said “truffle” and i said yeah truffle. The place is small and when there are a lot of people it gets very loud. When the pasta arrived it looked great! The pasta was good I really think it was the best dish from the table.
My boyfriend got the caccio e peppe and i tasted it and it was extremely salty. He did not eat it. My friend ordered the lasagna and it was 90% cheese. There was no pasta in her lasagna. The waiter never came back until 10 mins later and then asked if everything was okay and then he basically rushed out. I was trying to wave at him to tell him that the pasta was too salty. We never saw him again for another what probably felt like 15 mins. When he finally came back he said why didn’t I tell him before and I explained he rushed out. He again sorta gave us attitude.
Now let me get started on the happy birthday song that got louder each time they played it. The transition from the Italian ambiance music switch to the chucky cheese song was ultimately irritating. Overall i would say i was extremely disappointed in this restaurant and I would not be coming back as when we got the check i noticed when he said “truffle” he was asking if i wanted extra truffle which we got charged and also we didn’t notice they charged us for extra burrata which we realized it too late when we left.
either way extremely disappointing experience will not...
Read moreI want to start by highlighting the excellent service from our waiter, Juan. I had high expectations for this place due to its excellent ratings and reviews, and the food seemed delicious. I decided to come with my family to conclude our special birthday celebration, but unfortunately, the experience was not as expected.
The tomato soup I ordered was excessively watery and acidic, while the lobster soup, although a bit watery, at least had a better flavor. Then I ordered the truffle gnocchi and, honestly, I would rate them a 3 out of 10. The sauce was not creamy at all; instead, it was very watery, and despite being truffle-flavored, the taste of truffle was nonexistent.
To top it off, when I had about a quarter of the dish left, I bit into a piece of wood. I want to assume it came from a kitchen utensil and not something else, but the sensation was extremely unpleasant, to the point of causing nausea and preventing me from finishing the meal. Upon informing the waiter, he removed the piece of wood and offered to replace the dish. However, after that experience, I did not wish to try anything else. Additionally, I was surprised that, despite what happened, the dish was included in the bill without any additional consideration. I wasn’t seeking a free meal, but I believe the situation warranted a different response from the establishment.
The rest of the pasta sauces my family ordered were also watery and had a mediocre flavor. Honestly, I am very disappointed, as I expected much more from this place. The only thing truly worth paying for was the focaccia. I hope they can improve the quality of the food because the service was good, but the culinary experience left much...
Read moreFood is amazing. Everything we order the quality was fantastic. This review is mostly about the service and atmosphere. The place is very small with only a handful of tables inside and a little more outside. Upon arrival, host was very friendly and sat us down immediately, instead of asking indoor or outdoor, they sat us where was available which was outside. The sun was hitting all the tables as there was no shade to block the sun. We had our 2 year old with us and sat her towards the outside of the table so I could use my body to block the sun from hitting her. A server assistant preferred she sat on the side where I was sitting and I had to tell them no because the sun would directly hit her. Water should have been given immediately but we had to wait for our server. Our server was kind but made us wait quite a while as there was a big table outside that he was also taking. The fans on the roof are more for decor since they barely gave any wind or cooling. The big table had an additional fan that only hit them which I thought was unfair for the rest of the people dinning outside. 3 different people kept telling us the food was on the way or they were platting it which felt even longer. It was so hot that by the time we were done with the food that we just wanted to leave. We didn’t have dessert and we were all sweating. It’s a cute and nice place but the owners should add more fans to help with the...
