I recently dined at Hawaiian Poke FIU and my experience was nothing short of disappointing, primarily due to the lackluster management at the establishment. The poor management practices were evident throughout my visit and greatly impacted the overall dining experience.
From the moment I walked in, it was apparent that there was a lack of organization and efficiency. The manager seemed disengaged and uninterested in addressing customer concerns or ensuring a smooth operation. This lack of leadership was reflected in the overall chaotic atmosphere of the restaurant.
One of the most significant issues was the prolonged wait times. Despite the restaurant not being overly crowded, the management failed to properly handle the seating arrangements and maintain an acceptable waiting period. Patrons were left waiting for extended periods without any clear communication or updates, which resulted in frustration and a sense of neglect.
Furthermore, the manager’s indifference was evident in the way they handled customer complaints and requests. When issues arose, the manager seemed dismissive and unresponsive, displaying a lack of concern for customer satisfaction. It was clear that resolving customer concerns was not a priority for them, and this greatly impacted the overall experience.
Additionally, the lack of attention to detail was apparent in the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the restaurant. Tables were left uncleaned for prolonged periods, and spills were not promptly addressed. This lack of cleanliness not only affected the aesthetics of the dining area but also raised concerns about hygiene and food safety.
Overall, the poor management at Hawaiian Poke FIU significantly hindered my dining experience. It is disheartening to see such a lack of leadership and accountability within the establishment. I cannot recommend this restaurant due to the evident mismanagement that negatively impacted various aspects of the dining experience. I hope the management takes immediate steps to address these issues and improve the overall quality of service provided...
Read moreI’m incredibly disappointed with your response and the way you have chosen to address this issue. Instead of taking accountability, you’ve essentially accused your customer of lying. That is completely unacceptable.
Let me clarify the timeline with evidence:
I was charged at 5:39 PM. The order was canceled at 6:02 PM. That’s a wait time of 23 minutes, not the "10 minutes" you claimed. I did not receive any meaningful communication or clarification from you during that time. If Uber sent a message, it did not clearly explain the issue or give me a proper chance to respond. When I called to ask politely about what happened, your staff gave two conflicting explanations:
Uber couldn't find a driver. You couldn’t make the order because of the ingredients I selected. These are two completely different reasons. Which one is the truth?
Your message, instead of offering a respectful explanation, accused me of being dishonest. That is not how professional businesses treat customers. I’ve already contacted Uber and informed them of how your staff handled the situation and their language in replying to me.
If this is how you choose to operate—by insulting your customers and refusing to acknowledge mistakes—I will not be ordering from your restaurant again. I’ll also be sharing this experience with others, because people deserve to know how you treat your paying customers.
Shame on you for choosing arrogance over...
Read moreThough this is also a poke place, I came here on my search for crepes in which they offer a wide variety of savory and sweet crepes done Chinese style. All of them are really well priced especially for how large they are and filling since all of them are packed with plenty of ingredients. They are also served really beautifully in easy to eat cones in wire baskets.
I chose to try the J-Petal Special $10.75 (and the most expensive crepe on the menu): beef, chicken, krab stick, shrimp, lettuce, carrot, red pepper, red onion, baby spinach, sesame, and Japanese mayo. Yum! so many meaty flavors while still being balanced through the crunch of the vegetables which I really liked. Would definitely return specifically for this when craving a savory crepe!
My boyfriend had the Chicken Teriyaki $9.75: grilled chicken breast, boiled egg, lettuce, corn, carrot, string bean, baby spinach, and sesame with teriyaki sauce. This one definitely had more of an Asian flavored profile. We both were surprised by how much we enjoyed the hard boiled egg in it which I was iffy about at first. My boyfriend actually preferred this one to mine so I guess there are specific options for anyone's preference here!
Most definitely will be back to try the poke bowls that also seemed to be valued really well. The employees here were very friendly too and I noticed that they were very casual about...
