Smoothie King — Restaurant in Florida

Post-workout, I wanted to come and get a refreshing smoothie. My mom, who is allergic to whey and almonds (which is in most protein blends), decided to come with me. I was really skeptical that we would find anything for her, but Daniel took such great care of her. He answered all her questions, made suggestions, and put up with my double-checking paranoia. He was very kind and understanding the entire time. Furthermore, when making her smoothie, he also double-checked any ingredient and asked questions to make sure he was not putting in anything that may even remotely affect her. I've been a patron of this Smoothie King for almost 10 years. The husband and wife owners are really nice and can craft smoothies with the best of 'em. The employees are well versed in the creation of my favorites and others as well. The store is near a gym so it is packed at times but moves quickly. There are a couple of well padded chairs for those who are waiting or for customers who want to drink their smoothies in-house. The quantity if "nibbles" has been reduced but this not a bad thing I'M HOME as the selection used to be quite large, I'd bounce back and forth as to "do I want this or do I want that, oh, look, they...

I was disappointed with my recent experience at Smoothie King. I ordered an açaí bowl, and unfortunately, the fruit toppings were clearly not fresh and appeared past their prime. This took away from both the flavor and overall quality of the bowl. Given Smoothie King’s reputation for promoting health and freshness, I expected higher standards in food quality.
