During a recent visit to Red Lobster for lunch, I had the pleasure of indulging in their exquisite dishes, experiencing top-tier customer service from the server Yilian, and witnessing the outstanding management of George. I began my meal with the much-celebrated Red Lobster biscuits. These warm, buttery, and perfectly seasoned treats are a beloved staple, and it's easy to see why—they are simply irresistible and set the stage for an exceptional dining experience. The main course was the Creamy Crab Carbonara, a rich and flavorful dish that combines succulent crab meat with perfectly cooked pasta in a creamy sauce. Each bite was a harmonious blend of textures and flavors, with the sweetness of the crab complementing the savory creaminess of the sauce. Alongside, I enjoyed a Maine Tail Lobster, which was tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. Read moreIt's been awhile since I've been to Red Lobster. We went there since it wasn't as crowded as other restaurants in the area. We were promptly seated and our drinks were ordered. Seeing the $5 special on the 14 ounce Blue Moon, I ordered the Blue Moon. We also saw the new Mocha Expresso Martini and asked how much it was, and the waiter said it was around $7 or $8. We ordered one since it looked good and was good. He brought us some of those buttery biscuits, that are so good.
When he came back to take our order, and since it was "Lobster Fest", I ordered the new Lobster & Shrimp Lover's Dream, or so I thought (pointing to the menu). The waiter asked what side I wanted with it. I said the baked potato and he asked if I wanted it fully loaded and I said yes. I asked about the second side and decided on the Crispy Brussel Sprouts. He made no mention of the fact that there is an extra charge for the loaded baked potato or the premium side. I also didn't realize that I was brought the classic Lobster Lover's Dream with Lobster and Shrimp Linguini until the check came. We also ordered the Sesame-Soy Salmon Bowl. The food was delicious.
When the check came I realized that we were upsold on nearly every item. I was given the 20 oz. Blue Moon draft beer, not the 14 oz, $5 special. And as I mentioned earlier the Lobster Dream with the premium upcharge on the dish and the premium side dish that wasn't disclosed when we ordered. The martini was also a lot more.
