The first time I came to this place was for a consultation with Carmela for powder brows procedure, and she was incredibly kind, professional, and honest. She took the time to explain why I didn’t need to book with her personally (even though I initially wanted to), and instead referred me to an artist she trusts to do her own brows—which I appreciated and found very reassuring. This is super important to know because the price with Carmela is much higher than with another artist because she is, of course the master professional, but the fact that she guides you in the right path and doesn’t just force you to book with her and helps you save money shows how great she is and shows her integrity and passion in the field.

Unfortunately, my experience with the referred artist, Vanessa, didn’t reflect the same welcoming energy or individualized care. From the moment I met with her, her demeanor felt cold and disengaged. She didn’t smile, didn’t attempt to make conversation, and I felt extremely uncomfortable during what ended up being a four-hour session. Even when I tried to express that I wasn’t happy with the initial shape she designed, I felt dismissed. Eventually, Carmela was called in for a second opinion, and within seconds, she adjusted the shape by hand—no tools, no fuss—and it finally felt right.

What disappointed me most was the lack of professional warmth and personal care that Vanessa lacked. Usually people try to build a rapport with their clients that way their clients can come back to them and feel like they’re actually cared for, and I definitely did not get that feeling from Vanessa. Also I really disliked the sense that I wasn’t being listened to. The entire time I felt like I was just bothering her because I wasn’t happy with the design that she did on my face which mind you is something that is basically gonna be almost permanent so of course I have to be happy and comfortable with what I’m choosing. I honestly felt like crying the entire time because she made me feel like I was a nuisance or like I was bothering her. I was literally low-key holding back tears to the point where she asked me if I had to cough and I told her no.

The reason I chose this place and why I was willing to pay the extra price for Carmela to do my eyebrows is because Carmela has an amazing philosophy that she talks about all the time when you look at her social media and you watch her videos and read her posts. She upholds a very client-centered philosophy, treating each brow as unique rather than relying on cookie-cutter measurements. That’s why I chose this studio in the first place. Unfortunately, that mindset didn’t carry through with the artist I saw.

To make this long story short, I am still going to give this place five stars, and I still recommend this studio for their overall professionalism, talent, and atmosphere—but I would not personally recommend Vanessa based on my experience.

I didn’t leave 100% satisfied I left maybe 80% satisfied with my eyebrows, I still feel like one of them is thicker than the other, which I mentioned to the artist, like 10 times from the time that she was drawing them to the time that she finished . but I’m going to wait to see how they look when they heal and maybe I’ll feel different.

And I was right—when a cancellation came up, I took it, and it was the best decision I could have made.

My brows were very asymmetric and sparse, but Carmela took her time, carefully designed, and delivered incredible results. The transformation is remarkable—my eyes look lifted, my face looks more youthful. If you’re considering doing something about your brows, don’t risk going anywhere else.
