Tropic Grill — Restaurant in Doral

I've been coming to this place since it opened 20+yrs ago. And I've taken some time not going because of work routes. But I always loved their food, all of it, coffee, and the staff, so I'd try to come back sometimes. Well, my 3 stars is not because of any of those things, but for the prices that went ridiculously high. Regular cuban style fried empanaditas (small ones) are almost $3 each! Cafe con leche, the same. What happened? I had 2 empanadas + 1 café con leche (small) and I paid almost $10 including tax and tip. That has crossed the line and I cannot keep paying those prices. I know inflation has affected everyone but you basically doubled the price in less than a 12-18 months. I don't even want to know what food is inside....

I came here with low expectations. My car was getting its breaks done and I was hungry and walked to this location. When I arrived I asked for the menu and asked to be place far from everyone since I was working. They accommodated me and I was able to order. Dianelys took care of me and was very nice and helpful. The food was so good. I was not expecting it to be this good to the point that I’m trying to figure out how to come more often since this is out of the way for me and I’m only around for my car! Went to eat with my family at 2:30pm and 1 hour later when I got home I started to throw up all over 9 time In total lost so much liquid from my body I was very dehydrated that I was not able to breathe air at all and I was not able to hold down water or gatorade I had to go to the hospital urgent care when I get inside to see the doctor He tells me that I need iv fluids And a blood test and medication he later come back in the room tells me that I have been food poisoning and the blood test came back That I have no water in my blood system I need 3 liters of iv fluids And medication. The food in this place is not fresh and the place is very dirty that I got food poisoned stay away...
