An unforgettable dining experience at KPOP BBQ AND BAR!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at KPOP BBQ AND BAR, and I am absolutely thrilled to share my outstanding experience. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a vibrant atmosphere that perfectly set the tone for an incredible lunch.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the mouthwatering Korean barbecue. The quality and variety of meats provided were exceptional, each slice sizzling to perfection on the grill. The marinades and seasonings added an explosion of flavors that left my taste buds dancing with delight. Whether it was the beef brisket, or the tenderness of the steak, every bite was a symphony of taste and texture that I'll cherish for a long time.
What truly set this dining experience apart was the exceptional service we received. Our server, Kevin, was an absolute gem. His attentiveness and genuine enthusiasm for making our outting were truly commendable. Not only did he expertly guide us through the menu and offer insightful recommendations, but he also went above and beyond by suggesting other local food places to explore during our stay. It's rare to encounter a server who is not only knowledgeable about the food but also passionate about the city's culinary scene.
Kevin's personal touch didn't stop there. He went out of his way to compliment both my date and me on our outfits, making us feel even more welcomed and appreciated. His friendly demeanor and warm interactions added an extra layer of enjoyment to our dining experience, turning a simple meal into a memorable event.
The ambiance of KPOP BBQ AND BAR was another aspect that contributed to the overall fantastic experience. The modern yet cozy decor, coupled with the energetic K-pop music playing softly in the background, created an atmosphere that was both lively and comfortable. It was the perfect backdrop for a vibrant evening filled with delicious food and...
Read moreWaste of my time, gaslit, and lied to. We came in around 10:45. Google maps says they close at 12, and we confirmed on the door before walking in. We were sat around 10:55 and ordered our meats, sides, and appetizer. The server did not note our order down and had to come back and ask what we ordered a few minutes later. I went to the bathroom and the toilet was just broken. The handle just spun around and around. Had to use the mens room. We had to remind the server about our side dishes (corn, egg, and rice cake) after he only came out with the meat. When we asked about rice, the server said they were out but would check with the manager. We had to remind him a 2nd time to check, and when he came back, he said, "My manager refuses to make more." it was around 11:07 when this occurred. Around 11:27, we wanted to order more meat only to find out they closed in 3 minutes. The server told us that. I pointed out that the door said 12 and that google Maps said 12. Server said he would get the manager. When he arrived, he began to explain how all restaurants close 30 minutes before what is listed on the door and how there is a thing called last call. I pointed out that we were not informed when the last call was or that there was one. Then he told us that the server had sat us at 10:30 and I said no, we weren't. We sat around 11. He kinda sputtered, not knowing what to say and being caught in a lie twice. I told him that I should have been informed that there was going to be a last call at 11:30 so I could have eaten somewhere else. He said he would give us a 20% discount, but then the check came it was only an 8%. Additionally, the bowl that the egg souffle came in was very cracked and seemed like a health and safety issue. Left still hungry and upset
Even though the picture of the door is blurry, you can still definitely see...

Can I go into more detail? I can and I will! This AYCE BBQ restaurant just opened but it is sure to be my new go-to spot for filling, affordable, and mouthwatering meals.
The servers wore masks and were extremely polite and attentive. My server, Vo, did an excellent job keeping the grill clean, keeping an eye on the cooking meat, making conversation, and keeping me informed of the best options. His teammates also stopped by to help check on things. I felt like I was among friends (who happened to be skilled cooks).
The decoration was classy and fun. The booths have outlets on the sides so that you can charge your phone. The background music was the perfect volume, not so loud that you couldn't hear your conversation.
Now! On to the individual dishes. I sampled the:
Signature Ribeye: By far the best option. Perfectly tender, buttery texture and taste. This is the only dish I got two rounds of.
Hawaiian Pork Belly: Sweet and Tender.
KPOP Steak: Deliciously tender (I promise I'm not over-using this word. everything melted in my mouth), even the charred parts were full of flavor.
Lemon Pepper Chicken: Sharp lemon flavor that isn't overpowering.
Marinated Galbi (bone-in): Good flavor. I bit into a wayward sliver of bone so just be wary of that.
Appetizers: The rice cakes were the perfect combination of crispy and chewy. They weren't very spicy which was perfect for me. The Korean fried chicken was more like popcorn chicken which was the only disappointment but it was still very good.
Sorry I don't have pictures of the meat. I ate it too quickly!
In conclusion, KPOP BBQ and Bar is a welcome addition to the Doraville food scene and I hope they are around for many...
