My husband and I along with 2 of our daughters stopped by DD on our way from hauling some product (truck driver life) down to Apalachicola . When we went to the door we noticed a sign that stated they were closed for “installation” . I just assumed it meant closed on the inside. So we went to the drive through window to see if it to had a sign saying “closed”, but we didn’t see one so We went ahead and knocked on it. after just a few seconds, two men came from the back to assist us. when they approached the window, we explained that we were in a semi and couldn’t go through the drive through. One of the men then informed us that they were actually closed both for the drive through and on the inside for installation. He apologized at least 4 times within a couple of minutes of our conversation, but we weren’t mad by any means, just a little disappointed. He then asked what we were wanting, just a caramel ice coffee? If so McDonald’s had them ( right in the same parking lot.) I then told him I didn’t care for the ones from there but thanks. We then took the disappointing walk back to our semi. We had left our truck running to keep it cool , thinking we’d be in there for a bit and it’s rather loud (if you know you know...) and as my husband was getting in the truck, he heard one of the gentleman holler for him, he wanted us to come back up to the window. As we approach the window, they both were smiling asking us what exactly did we want and we told them. He then said that it was going to be free. I’m sure that my face spoke for me, because honestly I wasn’t expecting that at all. Hell.... neither one of us were! I kept asking was he sure? He reassured me a few times and of course I was super happy I was getting my coffee, but more so moved by how sweet and generous it was. Any-who, we received two large caramel ice coffees and one of our daughters wanted a chocolate doughnut (which we tried to pay for, but they wouldn’t let us). so again , THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts !!! Thank you for showing true generosity and compassion. There is still so much good left in this world, and tonight 2 men, (strangers at that) showed our girls what “role models” are supposed to do and proved that we still have decent human beings in this world. YOU LEAD BY EXAMPLE! Btw, my husband and I both agree, it’s the best caramel ice coffee we’ve ever had! It was perfectly made! Wish we knew what these guys names were so we could give...
Read moreNot to jump on the bandwagon of bad reviews but I've been frequenting this place several times a week for a year and 1/2 and today pushed me over the limit. The management of this location needs to change! This Dunkin simply has not and does not met the criteria of most every other DD I've visited. They've rarely gotten my order right and there is only 1 lady who has ever actually been friendly and smiled and I'm pretty sure she no longer works there. I've ordered either an egg/cheese bagel or a croissant donut every time I go which is at least a couple times a week. If i order the bagel, I get what I order maybe 1/4 of the time. Most of the time it has bacon or sausage on iota is missing the egg. The nearly $3 croissant was like rubber today and had to have been several days old. We LOVE their coffee and even make it at home often but I order my coffee with cream and sugar on the side b/c they put too much milk in it for me, however there again, the details, rarely do I actually get the number of creams/sugars I've asked for. Today I did get the right amount but when I opened my coffee to put them it, they had already put cream/sugar in it and gave it to me on the side as well. It really shouldn't be that hard to get an egg/cheese bagel and a hot coffee with sugar/cream but for some reason this place can't seem to get it right. If McDonalds can do it,...
Read moreCame in earlier this morning and was told in the drive through I had to come inside to place my order for doughnuts. So, I did. The customer service I received was subpar and I was made to feel like I was holding up other customers because I was deciding on what doughnuts 🍩 I wanted. I was unsure why they couldn’t just have one of the several ladies they had all in the back come upfront and service the customers inside standing in line. After completion of my order the girl taking my order seemed to be more than bothered the fact that she was having to place the doughnuts in the box and seemed even more irritated 😠 when I said I wanted another dozen, so I told her don’t worry about it then, I’ll just take the one dozen. She didn’t even say a word or dispute at all. Then, I returned this evening because as I suspected my family would want some more doughnuts. So, I came back this evening to get more and was told they where out of doughnut wholes. That they only had two kinds. Was told that the doughnut makers wouldn’t be in until later tonight. It’s already 6pm central time. I just couldn’t believe that a doughnut place would ever allow their establishment to run out of the main thing they are known for and sale. This place really needs to get a refresher course on customer service skills as well as finding a better way to ensure you don’t run out...
