Tbh I’d I could rate them -20 i would. We know ppl at McDonald’s are underpaid and over worked; we know because their choose of how to carry their responsibilities always exhibits symptoms of ppl sick of being at work dealing with what they were hired to do. Best example: Supervisor of GM “Jess” who when “Danielle” (GM) tried to pass me to her superiors said they were refusing to take the call. Danielle kept talking over me, lying about the request I made to correct the error on my $60 order. Danielle came on after Tatiana “manager” said I had to call door dash for an order placed in the McDonald’s app and selected as “delivery”. After she didn’t know how the app works, she puts Danielle - her GM; who says the app is a McDonald’s thing she’s a private store. Regardless of how they feel, they have legalities and contracted standards they must abide- franchises benefiting from increase of sales via app get their cut too- that distinction needs not be vocalized to a frustrated customer, and I’m sure it’s a breach of contract. Meanwhile the sup Jess is screaming int the background - Danielle says to her to take the call because she can’t talk sense to me, and I’m insulting her. She then comes back to the phone and I asked how am I insulting her if I’ve called her by her names and simply was asking for resolutions that did not require me to drive with 5 kids in the snow. She stuttered I guess she forgot to press mute - as the great professional that she is- and basically hung up on me. I called back twice and they let it ring third time Tatiana answers says Jess the GMs supervisor - is busy and I have to call after 2 pm I told her to leave them a message to call me when they had a moment. She said “nah we don’t do that you call if you want to talk” and hung up. The job doesn’t pay that bad either I know they start at $15-16 so shift managers have to be at $17-18 and GM at least at $20-22 In a team that stacks crew+shift lead+manager+GM - the job can’t be that bad that “private owners” can’t properly train their employees to be professional and speak correctly. Even when you’re absolutely detesting your position there are alternatives get another job. Don’t affect customers who are only upset when the mistake is on the staffs end. Tatyana also told me they ran out of breakfast, so when I asked logically why not then credit the items you couldn’t fill- her response was “idk I don’t work the mobile app orders” this kept getting better and better. Happy new year Boyertown/Gilbertsville- this town gets ...
Read moreThis is the Gilbertsville/Boyertown McDonalds, with the white cars showing it's drive through lane.
From left to right, they are cars # 1-6. Car #3 is in the Ordering position.
I will not idle my car in the #4 or #5 position. Here's why, for those who dislike this when they're idling behind me.
I must have an avenue of escape at all times when I'm driving, either on the highway or when idling at a traffic stop, or even when in case I need to move in haste for whatever reason. Both the driver's side and passenger's side of this drive through lane is blocked from any travel by either a fence or ordering menu signs.
While there is a 0.2% chance of something happening to you at a drive through, it is not without possibility in today's age we live in. Here are three most-likely senarios of why I am never stopped in the #4 & #5 positions, in order from most-likely to least likely:
The cars in front of me breaks down, either from gas or battery expiration, or has a car accident with another vehicle. I don't want to be stuck and boxed on all sides from the car behind me and fences on the side, while it takes minutes for them to fix or tow the car.
Someone starts a shooting. While you might say (and one woman did) that "this is Boyertown. That doesn't happen here," I argue that "no place for hate" is probably what the other cities that have experienced random acts of violence had said, until it happened to their town.
An earthquake just happens to decide I don't get fries with my shake. I'd rather be able to escape signs and trees that want to smash my car.
I realize it's only a 0.2% chance, but why take the chance on a headache or hassle when it does happen? It's not like you're getting to the drive through window any faster. Yes, I'll still move up as soon as the lane is clear (and honestly, I move up when it's time to order and there's still a car partially in front of me). No, I haven't fallen asleep.
Thank you for your patience. Remember to always drive...
Read moreI am furious and frustrated. I have recently visited this location on two occasions this month. The first occasion was great, the food was fresh and the employees were kind. I visited this location tonight after missing my exit coming off RT. 100 and I figured I would grab my son a happy meal since I certainly was not in the mood to cook dinner. I went through the dive-thru, I order one happy meal and pull forward to the first window. The lady working this window was not acknowledging that I was at the window, she never opened the window, or even looked up from the computer. I assumed this window was closed after sitting there for a prolonged period of time. With no cars in front of me, and a long line developing behind me, I pulled forward to the second window. As I sit, the nice young male working this window starts handing me my order. Knowing I hadn’t paid yet, I held my debit card in my hand resting my arm on the window of my car. THE LADY “WORKING” THE FIRST WINDOW comes to the second window and SNATCHES my card from my hand without so much as acknowledging me or saying anything AT ALL. No words from her were spoken. I sit there waiting for her to come back, and when she finally does, I say “don’t ever touch me or snatch my card from me again” and she stood their stunned, staring at me. I drive around and park on the other side of the building, go inside and discuss that matter with the manager who was seemingly nice, respectful, and understanding. I filed a formal complaint with the corporate office and if no action is taken, I will be seeking other remedies to the issue. An employee should NEVER touch or take a card without consent or informing them of the total, etc. This was location #04449 in Gilbertsville, PA. I don’t ever make a big deal about anything but this is completely...
