I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mita's Kitchen, a delightful new addition to Douglasville. This family-owned restaurant specializes in authentic Nicaraguan cuisine, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes every guest feel right at home.

From the moment I walked in, the friendly staff greeted me with genuine smiles and attentive service. Their passion for hospitality is evident, and they are more than willing to guide you through the menu, especially if you are not familiar with their menu or Nicaraguan food in general.

Speaking of Nicaraguan food, let's get into the menu! Mits's Restaurant features a variety of traditional dishes, the flavors were rich, authentic and YUMMY! After just 1 bite, my taste buds were transported on a direct flight straight to Nicaragua, no layovers or delays lol.

In addition to their classic entrées, Mita's Kitchen offers customizable bowls, allowing diners like myself with certain dietary preferences to mix and match bases like white rice or Gallo Pinto, and to choose proteins such as beef, pork, or chicken (or opt to make it vegetarian like I did). Everyone is able to get what they want! No complaints from a single person at my table!

Oh & I have to mention the vibes! The ambiance at Mita's Kitchen is cozy and family-friendly, it's a great spot for a quick casual meal or for special occasions. The decor, the service, everything! I truly felt like I was among family while dining here. It was as if I had known the owner since childhood or something!

We loved our meal we ordered Carne asada ,red beans rice, tostones,maduros, enchiladas,yuca fries , fried cheese, everything came with spices , crema, spicy sauces,sodas, they gave us wonderful service , great prices, very professional ,kind and informative. Amazing new spot in Douglasville. I was so excited to see this open! It’s not often you can find Nicaraguan food anywhere in Georgia. The food portions are generous and absolutely delicious - tastes like it’s made with family love. This time I had the bowl with stewed chicken but I can’t wait to try the other options.
