I love their food. In the past the atmosphere has always been awesome and the service is always been awesome.
I not only eat here or from here on occasion, I often pick up delivery orders via DoorDash or UberEats.
Yesterday, on December 1, 2023, I had a delivery order from DoorDash to pick up here.
Shane's like many other restaurants today require that the delivery companies must confirm the order before they can leave with it. A policy I'm 100% for, and have been talking to management at local restaurants about it since 2020, as a way to stop drivers from stealing food. But the young woman overseeing delivery orders yesterday, was a piece of work. If I confirm pickup and it turns out something is missing and I then have to wait, it could cause me to receive a contact violation and that could get me deactivated.
I had pulled the bag of food to my side and was reaching for the drink, with the confirm page showing so she can see it and she grabbed that food and that drink like I was some kind of low-life common theft fixing to run out the door with it.!
I don't feel I can buy my own food but it's not going to hurt her to let that food set on my side of the table so I can look through that bag that's already been tied just to make sure everything's in it, and then hit confirm it doesn't matter which side of the table I can't let you have it until you confirmed. I said you can let it sit on this side of the table. No I can't and I will not.
So here's what I'm going to be to head honcho around here even though I'm just an employee has cost this store: #1: I will never eat in the Shane's again #2: I will tell all my friends what happened #3: I will also make sure all the Dashers I know in the Douglasville area no not to go in there unless they want to have to deal with her, because 90% of us do not mind at all confirming an order but you can let us set that order in front of us long enough to confirm it, we're not going to run off with it. #4: We do not work for Shane's Rib Shack, nor do we work for DoorDash ... we are Independent Contractors and we choose to provide a service to Shane's customer.
I am 62 years old and my mama don't talk to me that way that young woman is not going to either, nor is anyone else in any restaurant. Because I do not have to pick up from those restaurants and you treat me like a common thief like she treated me I'm not coming back to your restaurant to eat nor to pick up orders for your other customers. I will still be a Shane's customer but I will not be a Shane's in Douglasville customer. She seemed to forget that I was serving her customer, and honestly if I hadn't already been in contact with said customer, I would have unassigned it and left the food sitting, but it was not the customer's fault, no reason to punish them. It was management fault for letting a mere employee think they have that kind of power over an independent contractor that does not have to do service for the company they work for.
The customer's name was Courtney, she had can't remember the entree but she did have a large peach cobbler and I believe it was a strawberry lemonade to drink. I was even kind enough to tell this young woman as I headed to the ladies room that I was going to the ladies while she was bagging up the orders so she didn't think I just disappeared.
I've never seen an employee there last long when they were rude to delivery drivers drivers drivers, and I cannot imagine this one...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Shane's Rib Shack at 2750 Chapel Hill Road, St 1400 in Douglasville, GA, and let me tell you, it was an experience like no other! First and foremost, I must mention Robert, the store manager, and Austin, who took my order. These two individuals are absolute rock stars! Their passion for their jobs and dedication to customer satisfaction is truly remarkable. They went above and beyond to ensure that my visit was exceptional, making me feel like a valued guest. Robert enthusiasm and commitment to creating a fantastic atmosphere are the reasons why I fell in love with this place.
Now, let's talk about the food. Oh my, the food! The moment I took my first bite of their 20 smoked wings smothered in their tantalizing honey BBQ sauce, my taste buds were transported to barbecue heaven! The wings were perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. I prefer a little more smokiness, but yummy nonetheless. Every bite was a burst of smoky deliciousness that left me craving more. Kudos to the talented chefs in the kitchen!
What impressed me as much as the food was the impeccable cleanliness of the restaurant. It's clear that the staff takes great pride in maintaining a spotless environment for their customers. The moment I walked in, I noticed the sparkling clean tables, floors, and utensils, which only added to the overall positive experience.

It was evening time & just a few days before Christmas... parking was easy and right in front and on the side of the restaurant. We were acknowledged with a greeting as soon as we entered...I like that. Victoria, at the cash register, was very welcoming, nice, helpful & professional. You order and pay for your food, then go find a table and await your food there. I think there was only 1 person in line in front of us, with a couple of people waiting for takeout orders and just a few people dining in. It's kind of a cozy vs modern look with music playing. They have booths & regular tables. It was clean with a positive atmosphere. There was not a long wait to receive our order. I ordered the cowboy burger, which was TASTY and larger than I expected...a 9 (picture showed full onion rings on the burger, but mine didn’t have that--would've been a 10 with that and a tinch more BBQ sauce). I could’ve cut that burger in half, saved the rest for later & still been full. Fries were OK.. a 5. I’ve never been big on onion rings, but theirs are YUM! a 9.5. I should’ve gotten them vs the fries. The flavor of the mac & cheese was OK (a 5), the temp was luke warm (a 1), and the texture was soupy (a 1). Hubby returned mac for pretty good red potato salad. a 6.5 I liked their peach cobbler... an 8. Also, I'd never had Brunswick stew, but had a sample of theirs...a 6.75. BTW, my hubby, who ordered pork ribs ( an 8.5) with onion rings, and the red potato salad (that replaced the mac), rated EVERYTHING except the mac a 10, including his bite of my burger. A waitress and supervisor checked on and assisted us throughout our meal. Also, we received a friendly goodbye upon exiting...just good customer service! It was a tasty, pleasant experience and we definitely plan to dine there...
