I can't say a restaurant has made me feel so unwelcomed in my life! I walked in by myself and asked to sit at the bar where I as well as the greeters could see plain as day had many open spots to sit. The female greeter ran of avoiding all accountability in a very overly dramatic fashion. Then the two gentlemen informed me a wedding party of 40 was coming in and the manager said to not seat anyone else. Understandable, but we're you going to seat those 40 in the 6 open bar spots!!?? Anyway I decided to take my food to go, no biggie. After I ordered patrons that followed after me who came in that were not part of said wedding party began to be seated. Yes I began to get annoyed especially after Chili's staff of about 15 without any type of reservation were seated without hesitation in the bar area of all places. At this point now I'm feeling like they just didn't want to serve me. The two gentleman greeters started to feel uneasy with how they were forced to treat me and I apologize that they were put in such a position. I asked for a discount due to the lack of professionalism shown to me, they refused. If I was a person that would enjoy making a scene this was a perfect opportunity. This could have easily been a clear cut case of racism, but I have hoped that the staff at Applebee's is better at that in these days. Either way it was a discouraging experience that I wish upon no one, hopefully they can see how badly they actually treated me and remedy this issue. One good not that actually bugged me was that I got mad at this situation yet the burger I got was absolutely amazing. Kudos to the chef, you definitely know what you're doing! Thank you to the 2 gentlemen that tried, I know your hands were tied. To the manager, do better! The rest of the restaurant was empty enough that you could have easily accommodated 40... wait I'm sorry 20. I heard the update that the party got reduced to that number. I'll stick to my local Applebee's that knows how to treat...
Read moreApplebee’s is usually my favorite, but this time I was so highly dissatisfied I’m not sure if ill bother going there again. My boyfriend and I went there for lunch and the experience started off great, within 3 minutes the hostess asked us if our waitress has been there yet. After a few more minutes our waitress Kenzie came over. She was very sweet, but after taking our whole order (drinks, app, and food) she never came back over. We waited at least 20 minutes for our drinks while we watched people who got seated after us already drinking and eating appetizers. After we got our drinks, it took another 20 minutes to get our spinach and artichoke dip while we watched more people get seated and get their entrees before we even got an appetizer. When the appetizer came out the chips were stale and overly salted, but we ate them because we were starving. After 30 minutes of waiting for our quesadilla burger and whiskey bacon burgers came out the bacon on bother were so over cooked it ruined all appeal of the meal. Even when I tried to the whiskey bacon burger without the bacon, the onion stings were VERY crunchy and it didn’t taste like a whiskey bacon burger at all. When Kenzie came back over I said I was highly dissatisfied and she asked me if I wanted to have the manager to come over. I asked her to bring the manager over, but instead Kenzie went to the kiosk, talked to the manager and another waitress without bringing her over and I saw all three looking around the corner right at me and I saw the other waitress laughing. After she brought me the check, we paid and instantly left. I always choose Applebee’s as my number one place to go but honestly if I’m going to be ignored for that long and then LAUGHED at, I’m not going there again. It was a waste of money and a huge waste of our day...
Read moreMy family and I came here last Friday for my daughter's birthday. This was where she picked to go. There were 8 of us total. I called to see if they did call ahead seating. The young lady on the phone said no. I said ok would you like a heads up when a large party is coming, annoyance in her voice she said sure. I gave her the name and how many. We get there, and the same young lady said they were full, but would get us as soon as they can. Ok no problem. We get called for a seat and we're attempted to be seated in a small 6 person table with one extra at the end. I said we had 8. The young man said he was told 7. I saw two booths empty next to each other and asked if we could sit there. He threw up his hands and said whatever I guess that's fine and walked away. So we sat there, but he left with the menus and silverware. So we are just sitting waiting whena waitress came by to see if we were ok with two separate servers. I said sure but if it's easier for them we can wait for a large table, which is what we did. I'm sure by now youre probably wondering why I gave 5 stars ....when we were finally seated, which wasn't much longer, the first waitress had set us up with three tables put together, instead of the large booth they typically seat. So we had plenty of room. Then we met our waitress, Emily. Who was fantastic. She was friendly, went out of her way for us and was on point. Didn't miss anything, our food was hot and delicious, and even in the midst of being super busy she was able to round up some other staff to sing to the birthday girl. So thank you Emily and everyone in the kitchen for making my daughters birthday that much more special and for the awesome meals!!!! We will be...
