Thai Taste — Restaurant in Dover

This place seems a bit crooked. They have a tendency to add charges after initial ones have cleared. I suspected this was happening off and on for a while but I never kept the receipt and it was always within a few dollars so I couldn’t tell for sure and then I’d kind of forget about it. This week though, they added on nearly 10 dollars for a $16.19 takeout order and THAT I noticed. They were dumb enough to charge me after the first $16.19 cleared so there was actual record of them adding charges. I called yesterday, spoke to a woman, was given an apology and a promise of a call back. Nothing. Luckily I could resolve it with my bank and the representative commented “looks like they did the same thing in July with four dollars”. Yup The food is good but if you feel you HAVE to go, I strongly recommend using cash.

Was complaining to someone at work and he said they did the same thing to him a few months ago so he won’t use his card if he goes, which isn’t often anymore. I’m guessing they do the age old trick of adding in tips to the receipt.

I’m still pretty pissed about it. It’s an account I don’t use often and it put me overdraft and by the time I noticed fees had been racked on and it was frustrating having to get everything...

Used to like this place. The two stars are for the past. This time was not good. I ordered red curry and it was missing the first ingredient - tomatoes. I told the waiter and he said he might be able to get someone out back to chop some up and mix them in. I told him not to go out of his way and he said OK and didn't do anything. Also, I ordered my meal at a spice level "10" and my wife ordered at a spice level"5". Well, her dish was considerably spicier than mine. She also thought the chicken tasted like the walk in fridge. Between the spice and the off flavor, the meal was inedible. She barely touched her meal. When the waiter came by, we told him about the issues and said the food was "OK, but really not that great" to which he replied "I'm glad everything is OK" and walked away. I didn't ask him to, but he really should have comped my wife's almost untouched meal. I used to like this place, but...

Tonight was my wife’s birthday, 39 weeks pregnant on a New Year’s Day and she’s craving Thai food. We where in Portsmouth and nothing was open. Then I called Thai Taste and low and behold I got an answer to her wish;”we’re open until 9”!!! We headed up and found it very easily. We where welcomed by the owner, sat down in the cozy 2 seated table in the window. The menu is numbered and illustrated with coordinated photos so ordering wasn’t confusing. When the appetizer came out we where so impressed by the size and flavor sauce they had for the dumplings but that does no justice to the taste. This place was the best tasting Thai meals we’ve eaten and we love Thai we had to share both meals. From Boston to Manchester, Concord to Portsmouth we recommend you need to try this place....
