My Country Story — Local services in Dover

I love going to this store for many different reasons… One of them being they have such a great selection of gifts for different occasions. I love supporting a local business and I love that they also have local vendors and their products.

I recently went with my four year-old and 17 month old. I had my 17 month old in the stroller but my four-year-old was walking around, endlessly touching everything. The owner of the store offered him a kid shopping cart and told him that he could put whatever he wanted in it and then she would put it all away at the end. I thought that was so kind and such a wonderful idea. He loved shopping on his own and it allowed him to explore the store while also behaving 😂

At the end, he brought the cart up to the register and handed her all of his things, as if he was purchasing them all. She then offered him some bubbles and a flag. It was truly so kind and I don’t know if she realizes how much I appreciated it. She proceeded to take the price tags off of the items I purchased and wrapped them for me in one of their personalized gift bags as she knew it was going to be a birthday gift for a friend. It’s the little things like this that keep bringing me back to shopping here. I felt valued as a customer and I did not feel like a hindrance bringing my small...
